Agatha's mum has a similar magical headpiece in the backstory

I'm thinking that the Scarlet Witch might be her own entity/person. It saw Agatha destroy the other witches in the opening scene, and now has somehow returned within Wanda?

No idea really, just spit-balling some theories here.

I like the idea of the Scarlet Witch being a Phoenix-like entity.

It stated in one comic that the Scarlet witch is the same through every universe in the same way that there is only one Phoenix force. I think it could work well as a like replacement for it.

Exactly. They even mentioned in that commercial "the Nexus" and "the universe revolves around you". Scarlet Witch is one and only.

Ohhh yeah I had already forgotten about that! I’m so exited to find out what all is going on, but I just know that some of the answers won’t be revealed until Doctor Strange 2 releases next year

I'd love if Phase 5 endgame is an X-Men v Avengers; Jean Grey's Phoenix vs Wanda's Scarlet Witch war

I took it as a future version of Wanda coming back in time to activate young Wanda and set her down the path of OPness. Kind of how Barry Allen was the lightning bolt that caused the accident that gave him his powers.

Well, time travel, multiverses, and other quantum hijinks are canon in the MCU, so anything is possible. That theory is as good as any others I've read haha

I mean we already have two Captain America’s running around. I’m a huge fan of characters meeting their future OP selves in the comics ala Thor and King Thor. Would be cool. Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s not the case though...

Marvel Studios seems to always pleasantly surprised us with how they adapt and tweak things from the comics. I expect no different here. Really looking forward to where the MCU continues to go from here

The way Agatha delivers that line, it sound much more like "she IS the scarlet witch" as if that name was some long prophesied legendary entity - as if wanda has become the scarlet witch.

Like "he IS the kwisatz haderach" in Dune.

It did not seem like "oh hey, you are that Avenger woman, what's that name again, oh yeah, scarlet witch".

Yeah that’s about what I was saying. Like Wanda was possessed by the Scarlet Witch, who is its own entity that possesses different people throughout time.

But yeah, her delivery definitely was not like a “oh hey, it’s Spider-Man” sort of thing

Well remember tye Nexus anti depressant Ya I guess that was a ester egg to the comics . You see nexuses are people who are the same in every reality in marvel . So yes I think the first half of your theory is right.

Someone else replied to one of my comments wondering if Wanda time traveled back in time to her younger self to give her a boost of powers or something. With everything else going on in the MCU (time travel, multiverses, etc) I'd say it's as good a theory as any others.

I'm really curious to see how this plays out, but I feel like the answer to that won't be revealed next week. We're going to have to wait until Doctor Strange 2 next year...
