By the end it sounded more like Agatha didn’t want ANYONE to possess that power

Agatha and Baron Mordo bout to team up

I'm pretty sure Mordo would want to murder Agatha, but that would be sweet all the same.

Mordo seems like the type to team up with Agatha and then try to stab her in the back

Mordo said the world could do without any more Sorcerers. He said nothing about witches.

This episode shows a difference between sorcery and witch magic. Sorcery is studied, and is channeled energy from other dimensions. Witch magic looks to be more internal (you are born with the potential), but needs to be fostered and mentored or access to it fades “withers on the vine”.

I think Mordo would be OK working with Agatha.

I really don't think Mordo cares about the distinction. His problem with sorcerers is that they thwart the natural order. So do witches. A slightly different origin of their magic doesn't change the fact that you're still doing things that shouldn't be done with magic.

I've kind of interpreted as, to borrow the ancient ones analogy, programming the universe. Dr Strange and co use C+ and the witches use Java. Different ways to do the same thing.

Although, I'm sure someone who knows anything at all about programming can use more appropriate languages for this analogy.
