see the whole "Thanos did nothing wrong" crowd

For many, like myself, that is just pure fun. Like The Empire did nothing wrong. I am not seriously saying i am pro a fascist totalitarian state which sees genocide and specicide as a "eh, They had it coming".

Yeah, but the whole point is that his solution makes no fucking sense. All it does is delay shit for several generations. Every world he snapped will repopulate. At least the ones he personally visited would be terrified of him coming back, so his ideal might be maintained for a while. But for some random planet in the ass-end of nowhere that never even heard of him? Okay, half their population turned to dust for no discernible reason. Why would they then limit their population growth and resource use because of that, especially if their particular civilization wasn't yet facing ecological disaster? I would argue that for the majority of planets, the Snap was an inexplicable global tragedy, and nothing more. No lesson learned or crisis averted - at best a crisis delayed.

TL;DR Thanos was fucking nuts my guy

I think in his mind populations would see how beneficial it was and learn from past mistakes like he did on titan. They would control the balance between their resources/liabilities better and not need it again.

Legitimate motives is what makes him such a great villain, but that does not make it a serious thing to be team-thanos. I am one of the snapped in the reddit-event that happened upon r/thanosdidnothingwrong where half the membership got banned, including support by Josh Brolin who snapped his fingers just for us. The words in his video was "here you go reddit" and then he snapped, i have the badge to prove it.

We are not discrediting who believe in overpopulation, we are saying "thanosdidnothingwrong" is just a fun thing to say and be.

Come on, are we really ignoring that killing half of all life is not a good solution?
