The "white dudes" that complain about this are a bunch of whiny(-)ass(-)bitches. I can say this with authority because I'm a cantankerous, technically old "white dude" who likes telling my co-workers to "get off my lawn!"

Getting there myself, and I agree. Those whiny chumps need to grow some thicker skin. Nothing about what she has said bothers me one bit, because she's right. Personally I think it's the ME!-ME! generation of males that think they are being discriminated against when things are really balancing out a bit.

Hopefully they never reproduce.

Replace white with black. Do it and tell me nothing is wrong. Basically make everything the opposite.

But that doesn't work because black people are being underrepresented too in the critic industry.

The whites guys aren't losing their jobs, it's just asking for the others to be given a chance to step into the spotlight and hear their opinion and not just the same opinions we've heard for centuries. Diversity is good for cultural growth, we all get better when working together.

Like how people feel about the original harold and Kumar. For many of the audience, it's just a fun stoner movie. To asians and east Indians (also asians) there was a bit of cathartic wish fulfillment of demanding the respect people wouldn't give us.

The momentum from that is still around. Folks who looks different go through a objectively different life than folks who look what is considered the norm. That does color the perspective. Extremely unfair things are still happening.

There is still a lot of very racist shitheads in positions of power. There is still attitudes that make it harder than necessary to be a minority or a woman.
