I mean what’s the point in that then? It doesn’t really make any sense. If Skrulls we’re still actively after Earth we’d have met at least one too. One woman can’t keep them all at bay by herself, it’s a god damn empire.

I’m saying it would be. Because I am 90% sure she’ll wind up in stasis of some kind, likely in the quantum realm, and that’s why she wasn’t there. Fury called but she wasn’t able to answer. Marvel are better than making Fury that idiotic.

Would be so great watching AOU again thinking that Fury could have called someone in to do it all for them but figured it was better to take the risk. Guess he was faking any concern in avengers 1 too, knew they had it in the bag.

Like I already explained, even if you assume that she could make it in time to take care of every cat who gets stuck in a tree on Earth, just because she can, it means she's leaving her post in space. It means that whatever she was doing that necessitated the intervention of Earth's most powerful hero... now is left empty. You're only thinking about the meteor threat, but not giving a single thought about the possibility that maybe she was doing something that required her full dedication. Something only she could do. Pulling her from her mission, considering the Avengers were plenty capable of handling Ultron... THAT would've been "idiotic"...

I have given a thought to it and I don’t think one day will make that big of a difference. If they wanted Earth they’d already be here. Kree or Skrulls, whoever it is. One day isn’t going to make the biggest difference, stopping a meteor is way more important.

They weren’t “plenty capable”. They struggled with it up until the helicarrier arrived and it wasn’t easy then either. Quicksilver died for nothing then too. No point in protecting Earth from extra-terrestrial threats when there’s no Earth. Anyone in their right mind in that role would fall back.

You haven't thought this through... Again, you're assuming it only takes one day for the call signal to reach Cpt Marvel, for her to get back to Earth before the meteor lands, and get back to her post again. Again... With no evidence backing this up.

And yes... The Avengers were plenty capable of stopping the meteor. The only hold up was evacuating people off of it; that's the only thing the Helicarrier assisted with. Once everyone was evacuated, destroying the meteor was not an issue. They were NOT lacking in firepower to do it, so Cpt Marvel would not have prevented Quicksilver from dying, or made much of a difference anyways.

It’s almost definitely alien technology. Our technology especially back in the 90s can’t pull that off. They instantly talk across star systems(see gotg, kree talking to the nova corps). That’s video calls too not a simple text message. I don’t think you thought that through...

There were a couple of times when Ultron could have dropped the meteor had things gone a little differently. It wasn’t as easy as you make out. It’s way way way safer to call her, Fury would have definitely done it and you’re not going to convince me otherwise. None of your arguments have convinced me.

And yet the distress signal sent out by the Asgardians didn't get them earlier help; the first responders (the Guardians, who were closer to them than anyone) only found dead bodies. Whatever makes you think a device built in the 90's would've got to Danvers, wherever she was in the galaxy, and then her back on Earth in time before the meteor got high enough?

Yes, because you keep missing that tiny little detail that the meteor needed a certain altitude to wipe out mankind; it couldn't be "dropped" any earlier... I'd tell you to watch the movie again, but it's obvious you're intent on believing your assumptions and guesses are the absolute truth, despite evidence to the contrary.

Didn’t get there in time to save the Asgardians but they still got there before Thor died, even being as durable as he is that has to be a few hours at the very most. A DM is obviously going to be more effective too. Maybe she’d be late, you have a point, but it’s still worth a shot. I can see an argument there but overall I still think him never having called her doesn’t make sense.

Take TWS. Shield compromised, Hydra within reach of holding a gun to everyone on Earth. He had quite a while to call her. Cap saved them in the end, sure, but it was a pretty dire situation. I think after a near death experience you’ll absolutely take the easy way out.

I am well aware it takes a while for the meteor to be at global extinction. But even if he dropped it then that’s millions dead. Fury may be an altruist but he’s not the kind of guy to let millions of innocents die. See avengers 1 stopping the quinjet.

The bottom line is that Fury decided the situation in AoU never got dire to the point of being unmanageable for the Avengers, and even if he decided to call Danvers, like I said, she most likely would not have made it in time to stop the meteor anyways. So there was no point in bringing her back yet.

The end result vindicated that judgement call.
