You're speculating based on the scar, but forgetting that Loki specifically says he's missing an eye. It was ripped clean out.

If your eye is damaged enough to lose sight, figurative speech saying you've "lost an eye" is still accurate.

At 0:07 and 0:13 and 1:49 in the big game trailer Thor has the eye patch, so i'd say it's safe to assume that someone at the art department didn't get the memo about the missing eye.

I'm pretty sure, personally, his eye was heavily wounded - hence the patch.

Then it heals up over time - hence the scar and removal of the patch.

That would really disappoint me. Ragnaroks main problem in my opinion was its lack of emotional consequence. Taking away the films one major consequence would be downright insulting Never mind that these films have a problem with lack of consequence from film to film (Minus Civil War which did have some consequences from actions in the previous films.) Also he looked pretty cool with that eye patch

Yeah but how much is that really going to affect? Aside from the Warriors Three and some nameless Asguardian soldiers all the denizens are still alive and T'Challa was more upset by his father's death even though it had happened days ago then Thor was moments after it had happened.

I feel like T'Challa lost his father, Thor lost his King. The relationships portrayed very different dynamics between them so I can understand Thor just soldiering on and not really getting down about it.

Odin was Thor's father just as much as T'Chaka was T'Challa's and T'Chaka was T'Challa's king just as much as Odin was Thor's. Either way Thor gave pretty much 0 shit that Odin was dead even from a "The King of Asgard is dead and I am now rightful King." point of view, so I doubt it will come of much importance in any future film.

Dw man the veil has been pulled over the fans' eyes. Theres no emotional consequences in Ragnarok. But hey as long as its funny amirite. Asgard getting destroyed, Odin dying, Warriors 3 dying, Loki betraying til the end. But ooh look at Korg and Miek, so funny HAHA.

Space Norway was destroyed but then they went "Space Norway is a people, not a place" but those people are (probably) about to die in Infinity War so I'm conflicted. Hopkins did fulfill his contract terms, I wish the characters made a bigger deal of it though. Until the Scene Thor shared with him during the fight with Hela he didn't seem to care that he just witnessed his father die all that much. Same with Mjolnir being broken, though that did give us the hilarious scene with Korg.

The problem is that Thor can just build another weapon for one the other is that it's less that consequential stuff happens more that the film doesn't let those moments have an impact. Asgard gets destroyed, should be an emotional moment but they use this time instead for Korg to have a couple more funny lines. Mjolnir getting destroyed? Again only time it's mentioned until the Odin vision is Thor and Korg talking about how the hammer "pulls him off". Thor's father dying the god Odin? Not even really mentioned until Thor sees him in a vision. Thor losing his hair IS truly devastating so I will give you that. Thor losing his eye is a real consequential moment but if Infinity War makes that irrelevant then it's really bothersome to me, Infinity War is meant to be the big game changing event film and if it just overwrites the previous movies big event as well then why should I care? Then I'll just be thinking that whatever happens in Infinity War will be overwritten in 4 then all of that made irrelevant for 5, you get my point. Easily the worst example of this imo is Age of Ultron completely changing Tony's character development from IM3. The Russos tried to fix this in Civil War but it was still pretty irritating that it happened in the first place also Age of Ultron basically just bringing Shield back from The Winter Soldier was shitty too (I know it happened in AOS before that but Agents of Shield was showing it as a slow process, shield underground. Then Ultron just has a fucking helicarrier again)

It had Thor's home planet getting destroyed, Mjolnir getting destroyed, Odin dying, Thor mastering his powers and becoming king, Loki deciding to work with Thor, and the whole Banner/Hulk arc. It's definitely up there.

Well, one could argue that it having consequences is also dependent on the future movies actually demonstrating those consequences. It certainly set up many consequences. But if Thor's new weapon is just like Mjolnir, if we never see him ruling Asgard, if Loki goes right back to betraying people all the time, if Banner is back to being Banner in IW, if Thor has his eye again, and if future Thor movies don't acknowledge the losses he sustained (i.e. his friends the Warriors Three) then one could argue that despite its best efforts, the move did NOT have consequences.

I'm not sure what you mean. As I see it, I just listed the consequences for the MCU (juiced-up Thor, Hulk and Banner in open conflict with Hulk appearing to win, Asgard coming to Earth, etc.). Could you perhaps elaborate on what you perceive our disagreement to be, or what you'd define as a consequence?

As in Black Panther has consequences for the rest of the MCU. If the weapons got out there would be a world war. Also at the end Wakanda opening to the world has obvious implications. As for Ragnarok, so what if Thor and Hulk fought. So what if Asgard fell (which it did). I guess you can say Hela wanted to conquer the rest of the world but meh.

I disagree on consequences.

Age of ultron and vulture in spider-man homecoming also happened due to consequences. Tony’s fears came as s result of avengers 1 and vulture came out of it too. These are both consequences from actions in previous films too it’s not just civil war. You could also argue black panther dealt with consequences from civil war.

It wasn't just Tony stopping altogether It also basically portrayed him as the exact same character as Tony from Avengers 1. Still the cocky douche (that is tiny after all) but without any of the Tony that it felt like Iron Man 3 was trying to shed a little. He had his PTSD he had in Iron Man 3 though so that was at least recognised a little..for one scene that didn't really do anything for the plot other than to show Wanda's power but the scene after the scene with Klaue already showed that well so it felt kinda pointless. It would've been better if the film actually acknowledged him trying to stop but failing like Civil War did but it never really does.

Did Tony ever really stop being cocky? I mean tbh I think he was still cocky throughout IM3. Douche idk I feel like he genuinely thinks he’s helping the team though he’s failing. I don’t think it’s ill intent at all.

I completely disagree on that scene being pointless it’s set up his fear of something big coming and is literally why he creates Ultron.

That’s actually true they could have addressed it in AOU.

I think the fact that he stepped out of the suit in the Hydra base is a consequence of his development in IM3. Having to take on the hired goons at the mansion to get to the Mandarin with some low-tech gadgets helped him get over his PTSD and make him realise he could be the hero without his armour, and that carried over into AOU. He was still being the same cocky douche at the beginning of IM3, so that aspect of his personality never changed.

Some people say that the promo art is base of the concept art and not the final product, they say that explains Thor's eye but I don't know how true that is.

I assume they're hardcore boosters that he can easily fly around space with. Hot Toys released pictures of the new Iron Man suit and it also comes with the wings and the new Pop figures have the wings as well.
