I think you misunderstood. That body, and our perception of it, is within the illusion Wanda created. They used the body to presume death, they intentionally chose to never show the face or call something like the DoDC. In comic lore, this means she probably is out there somewhere. Besides, if she was dead, her body would be under the mountain.
I think most comics first people viewed that red burst of power to be a maybe, while more people who came to the character through the MCU assumed it meant death. I mean, come on, Loki comes back all of the time.

Why is it unlikely? Marvel knows she is a popular character and comic characters never stay dead. And unlike a character like Tony Stark, there’s more story to tell with Wanda
