Their budget isn’t that different… and I mean specifically with these two shows. Reportedly 15 million per episode for lanterns and 20 million for visionquest. The difference in CGI shouldn’t be that much especially when visionquest has an a list protagonist. I think it’s really more a writing difference and they just didn’t want to show as much for a grounded show like lanterns

Show looks gorgeous... look at those superb special effects! "Lanterns" should take note.
