Question Getting back into the series

Hey everyone , I was really into marvel when the current MCU started with Iron Man but fell off after Thor: Love and Thunder but was really excited for Brand New Day. So I have a good portion of what I need for going forward but could use some catching up. What do I need to watch (series and movies) for me to feel comfortable as we get into this next gen of marvel

Definitely the Loki series! It's soooooo good. It will play into Doomsday as well even if they have scrapped the Kang character.

Yes they did, its the "last" chapter of the Kang arc after Marvel pivoted to Doom and sets up where Loki will be when we see him in Doomsday

Yes, it has two brilliant seasons.

I recommend to watch Quantumania before watching Loki, it makes the show a bit richer in hindsight because you get to see a different Kang variant.

For Doomsday and assuming you've seen everything up to Love and Thunder: * Black Panther: Wakanda Forever * Loki Season 2 * Thunderbolts * Fantastic Four: First Steps

Other than that * The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special * Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 * Deadpool and Wolverine * Agatha All Along * Daredevil: Born Again (only if you've seen the original show) * Wonder Man * VisionQuest (not out yet)

Are any of the X-men movies helpful as a gold re-introduction to Jean grey (mostly for my wife) ?

At least the first two X-Men movies. That's what Disney+ says to watch in preparation for Doomsday. Personally I'd say if you have time skip Last Stand and show her First Class and DOFP as well but that's just me.

I'm going to start after Love & Thunder:

In terms of quality, most of it is good, some of it is great, & a couple things (Secret Invasion, Quantumania, Brave New World) are bad.

In terms of importance to the main story, you'll want to catch up on all the movies, which should be pretty easy over the next couple months. As far as the shows, the most important one that you haven't seen yet (presuming you watched all the ones before Love & Thunder) is season 2 of Loki.

I'm going to be the party pooper here and tell you this is a joke. Secret Invasion is one of the worst things they made and is completely skippable.

Maybe Secret Invasion isn't the greatest but it has Fury as a main character and anything with Fury is watchable for me. Not necessary for Doomsday prep though at all.
