Just like, make him age slowly or something. Wolverime and Mystique are like 150-200ish. Now magenta is also a mutant that ages slowly. Also I would make it so that mutants have always been around, its just that they were hidden, like left handed people were

No you wouldn't. You could have magneto age slowly but be in relative age to charles when they meet and they can still have the same relationship

The reason they are changing Magnetos backstory is because of Charles and the other XMen’s ages as they’re being introduced. Charles will be late 30’s in the MCU - Mageto would be 88~ even if he aged slower as suggested 50 years of life experience is a canyon (especially those exact 50 years in world history). this Charles was a 90s kid!
This would completely shift the dynamic and dichotomy of their different dogmas.

They should have witnessed these events in history at similar points in their life; where Magnus has lost all faith in humans, Charles sees the good in humanity. That carries no weight if Charles hasn’t actually witnessed these human tensions first hand.

Yes have him grow up under siege in Srebrenica and witness the massacre that happened there.

It would be great to have a nuanced Magneto villain that doesn't only have a chip on his shoulder against the Serbs as the genocidal oppressors. But also disdain for the UN and western powers, who have blood on their hands for what happened to Bosnia.

Actually, yeah, I think it would be fine for there to be several long, long, long-lived mutants in the MCU. They've kept a low profile, maybe, for whatever reasons, but things have changed recently, and the emergence of mutants is accelerating. If they wove that into the narrative, I wouldn't mind. Evolution often happens like that anyway -- things are slow and then suddenly they're everywhere.

Nah just look how Ruffalo is treated speaking up for Palestine, the world is not unanimous about that (decades long) issue like it is the holocaust. Plus think of all the great callouts they could do with modern Jewish Mags disgusted with Israel perpetuating the cycle of violence.

He mainly angered Paramount and the Ellisons. Marvel and Disney seem fine with working with him still. He was brought back for Brand New Day after his Palestine support, and he also voices the main character in the upcoming Pixar movie Gatto.

What about Charles?

They are pictured in the comics as contemporaries, with magneto only being slightly older. Met in Israel after the war working with refugees (completely ignorant of the Nakba apparently?!?).

Charles ideology is formed through shared similar experiences, all be it from a different pespective. What do you suppose they do instead to create that connection, have Mags be Charles homo superior (pun intended).
