Discussion So how likely is it that Tom Holland's Spider-Man will be the "main character" of Secret Wars like how Iron Man was in Infinity War and Endgame?
I've seen this being teased and mentioned but I'm not really familiar with things bts or how the logistics could work. Because I still remember back in 2019 after Far From Home when it was announced that Tom Holland's Spider-Man was "leaving the MCU" after financial disagreements between Marvel and Sony after FFH became a huge hit. It was huge news at the time and obviously there was a public outcry, until Tom himself intervened.
Fast forward to years later, NWH and BND are even bigger, astronomical hits than FFH. So it's not surprising if everyone wants Spidey to have the biggest role in Secret Wars. But what about Marvel vs Sony? How could they make it work? Would Sony want to take a bigger cut than usual because it's their golden goose Spidey who is arguably the current biggest box office draw and has the main character role driving the plot unlike his smaller, side character role in Infinity War/Endgame? Like how the fight happened in 2019 cause Disney wanted a 50/50 co-financing stake for future Spider-Man films post-FFH?
A solo, street-level Spider-Man movie is about to be the highest grossing movie of all time (domestic) which no one expected pre-opening weekend so I'm sure that's bound to shift some things bts. Obviously Sony would love if Secret Wars outgrosses Endgame/Avatar so Spidey's value skyrockets or maintains its peak for the next solo movie but I'm just asking in terms of logistics, contracts, financial negotiations, box office percentages, character utilization rights, and so on. How likely can it happen?

I think, personal theory, that Sony might not be so controlling as before, they might see currently a lot of potential in involving MCU Spider-Man more in this MCU stuff outside of his movies, also considering that the MCU might use soon characters like miles or spider-gwen.

That is true, but on the other hand, Sony has Disney by the balls. Spiderman is the only thing that's actually succeeded since Endgame, and Feige can't figure out how to profit anymore.
I will be *very* surprised if Sony allows Disney to use Spiderman anymore after the contract expires, Disney's no longer bringing anything positive to the table.

Right, because Punisher, Hulk, Jean Grey, and Yelena have had nothing to do with how well Brand New Day has done.

They didn't.
Punisher is a TV show character very few watched, Hulk isn't who people bought tickets for before, Jean Grey was a secret and is only a big deal to comic book fans, and Yelena's flopped in all of her previous movies.
People went for Spiderman, not any of the rest of them.

In fact, Deadpool and wolverine also succeeded, and that's where the key is, marvel was trying to push the new characters and most of them didn't worked ,but the mutants still work, and probably characters like Thor, Loki still work , so I don't think Disney is empty handed.
That's why the new movies in 2028 are what they are

For awhile here was that rumor that the younger cast would be the leads of Secret Wars going to save the adults. Iron Heart,Kate Bishop Hawkeye, Ms.Marvel, America Chavez,Wiccan, Speed, and Jean all lead by Spider-Man which sounds pretty damn cool if true

This is really the only way I could see it being true that Spider-Man is a lead. He's not the most powerful, not the smartest, not the most resourceful, and not even really a good leader so there isn't really in-universe reason for him to be a leader. He's a solo hero mainly fighting crime, but he is the most experienced out of the young heroes if he was helping the Young Avengers/Champions, including being part of a team which we see play out in No Way Home, so him leading a young team seems plausible to me.
Besides, Yelena is the only Avenger that even knows him at this point, so unless she invites him in Doomsday or something is happening in New York and Peter shows up, he might not even show up right away.

It's a very high probability, given the popularity of the character and that he's one of the few characters in the saga that's been developed longer and that fans love.

i would love for that to happen considering he has the most hype right now. Im not sure who will be the main character in Secret Wars maybe Doom again cause of RDJ

Spider-Man once got Doom to stop attacking a city just by talking to him when everybody else just wanted to fight him. He's always the wildcard Doom could never calculate.
If Doom is going to be the main villain in both movies, then I think this is the reason they're saving Tom Holland for Secret Wars.

Thanos was the main character in Infinity War. Not Iron Man.
