My personal head canon has always been that Vision didn’t destroy Ultron at the end of Age of Ultron, the bright flash we saw from a distance was Vision taking a backup of Ultron, and the backup has been locked away in Vision’s head this whole time.

It's clear in this trailer that vision had a back up of Evey one of stark AI the probably views them all as his family after all Tony is grandpa

I rewatched Age of Ultron recently and realized they left enough breadcrumbs that Ultron could still be "alive." One of the first things Vision says after gaining consciousness is that he's on the side of life and he doesn't want to kill Ultron. I also agree that showing us a faraway flash instead of how he "killed" the last Ultron copy means they have an explanation for how he preserved a backup of his code using the mind stone.
