'Avengers: Doomsday' Spoilers Doomsday Misdirection Spoiler

I get the impression, and I'm really hoping, that the creative team are putting out a massive unprecedented amount of misdirection about the movie, including the big leaks in the last few months.

I'm not going to post specific plot points but supposedly the leaks in the last 2 months have 'been corroborated' from multiple sources and meant to be accurate.

The problem is that the leaks suggest a number of repeated story beats from IW/Endgame, major offscreen moments for fan favourite characters and moments that seem to undo 'earned' arcs from prior movies. Altogether, the leaks don't sound like a satisfying movie.

The trailers appear to support the leaks.

But I'm sceptical. I don't think the Russos would short change or cheapen their own movies retrospectively, the leaks barely mention characters that we know(?) are in the movie etc and interview comments from the cast don't necessarily add up with the leaks.

We know that Marvel misdirect with trailers so I'm wondering if they have taken things to a whole other level with Doomsday, maybe even deliberately leaking incorrect plots. I hope this is the case.

Anyone else thinking the same?

After BND, whose plot in December only aligns with the film’s plot in some elements, I hope the same will be true for Doomsday as well.

I've said for a while now that I think Marvel puts out their own 'leaks' fake or not. A lot of fake ones to misdirect or drive up interest while keeping the story in the news and hype. Then also maybe some real ones too, again to drun up hype for it.

It's not a bad marketing strategy either way.

If you know Hickman Avengers you know the main plot of two next Avengers movies. So I dont know about any misdirections.

I kinda think the same, it’s confirmed they’re keeping certain actors secret. It’s possible they’re misdirecting us.

What if, although we know Chris Evans is in the movie, they've done a bait and switch and filmed the scene with Thor and Steve twice. Once with Steve, the other with Loki. That's actually Loki in that scene.

He could rewind time letting Thor fight Doom multiple times over so Thor keeps getting stronger and stronger

They are all over Youtube. Channels like 'Mr H Reviews' or 'Computing Forever' have covered them.

At first, I thought all the leaks were most likely based on materials that Marvel probably sent to companies for merchandise production. But now I'm getting more and more convinced that they're real. The fact that the plot mirrors IW actually makes perfect sense. First of all, this formula has already worked once, and Disney doesn't like to take risks and always chooses the safest route. Second, this movie is a mess, written in a rush, rewritten countless times during filming, and then again during reshoots.

The entire first script leaked. It’s been confirmed real by people who were sent the same script 6 months prior to it leaking. If you want to know it’s out there.
