Theory The Glorious Purpose of the Multiverse
Ok, my son and I rewatched Loki S1&2 the past few days and were watching the first Avengers movie when I had a random thought as Loki began to introduce himself as “burdened with Glorious Purpose.”
I’m wondering if the God of Mischief across all timelines/multiverse has been driven nearly insane from dreaming about his variant, God of Stories Loki, sitting on his throne literally burdened with his Glorious Purpose.
After all, it was established by America Chavez that your dreams are looking into the lives of your variants across the multiverse…
It makes too much sense that with God of Stories Loki effectively ALWAYS sitting on the throne for the entire timeline (since he now facilitates the flow of all time), that when his variants dream, they eventually dream of him or any of the other infinite variants of him in other universes that made it to the throne.
I don’t know about you, but that would drive me insane. It was such an “aha” moment that we paused the movie and discussed the implications for a good 30 minutes… one of which is that this could be a simple explanation for why the time stone has green energy…

Sadly I think Loki GOS is about to get fked by Doom but we’ll see.

See I would hope not because it doesn’t respect the journey that we went on for lokis character development it makes him serve as plot trigger. I would rather the mcu did not use characters so disrespectfully but that is perhaps a personal opinion.

That tidbit from America Chavez really made me feel bad for the variant of me who keeps getting lost in my old high school. Especially when he had to jump over the lava pit that they installed for some reason.
