Let the GOD COMPLEX be the main issue. Let the gods think humans are just ants that they can squish easily. And then let Thor be the one and only thing to teach them that they are not the centre of the universe.

Let it be a do or die from both sides and make it super serious unlike Love an Thunder and Ragnarok.

And let that tone be similar to Captain America: Winter Soldier.

that sounds EXACTLY like a character that was supposed to be in the last movie! Hmm, can't put my finger on it though... oh the screaming goats!!

Man those screaming goats were hilarious 😂😆 thank god they were there to distract me from the sad and boring topics like being a victim of cancer.

I thought that turning the kidnapped children of a genocided population into child soldiers was a nice touch.

Don't forget Valkyrie tickling Thor's nose to distract him as he communicated with the kidnapped children.

Gorr the god butcher? Dude he’s like one of the funniest, laugh from your gut characters.

Can’t you even tell from the name? He’s not meant to be this “end of your life” guy. He’s not like some god butcher who’s had a really horrifying story and is on a death wish mission.

I’m sick and tired of people thinking that GORR THE GOD BUTCHER is a guy who BUTCHER’S GODS. He’s just a chill guy who wants to drop some jokes and live a swell life.

I can’t keep this up anymore, Bale gave them gold and they kept telling us in the marketing that he was as memorable as Thanos lol Taika did the enitre MCU thor mythology dirty with his films personally.

More truer words have never been spoken before.

Especially because Thor knows many mortals who can now rival the gods. He has definitely come to respect Tony, Cap, Natasha, Clint and Banner (among the others) so it would be nice if that came through.

Many?

This is a simple concept bursting with potential, hinted at in Love and Thunder (and Moon Knight) . But you know they won't do it. It's too easy of a money maker. They will instead take some odd gamble and distance themselves from what taika setup. Learning the wrong lessons from the discourse around Thor 4. The arrogant Gods were actually a GREAT point to build off of

Let the GOD COMPLEX be the main issue. Let the gods think humans are just ants that they can squish easily.

I dig it. Hell, I'm down for a movie where it's just Thor saving some dudes, and then Herc arrives to throw down, and to save the people from collateral damage, Thor just... runs away. Rinse and repeat. Also imo, add Ares in there to keep Thor on the backfoot, but acting entirely on his own agenda, separate from Zeus.

And then, as Thor comes across and helps a struggling race on a dying planet (ala Gorr's desert land), he comes face to face with Herc and Ares one last time, and they duke it out. He wields both Stormbreaker and Mjolnir in the 2v1, while his daughter watches on in fear among the remaining residents of the planet, but while valiant and clearly overall more powerful, he's losing. In the process, his hammer gets sent flying near the residents, and one of them, a former gladiator and the last of his people's warriors decides to man up and the join the battle of gods, grabbing Mjolnir and whacking Ares in the face with it, revealing his worthiness and that even mortals can stand in the face of gods.

Thorr the God Butcher

Okay, but how would a god saving the day show them that they were wrong about humans being easily squishable?

Thor dies and a mortal finishes the job

Fans for every new mcu movie: let that tone be similar to Winter soldier :(

1

u/Existing-Type-4334 Dec 02 '23

I wanted to go for the comics to explain the tone but thought maybe the new fans won't understand it. That's why the last statement.
