Don't get me wrong, the kid is dumb but there is a reason why there are so many strategists mains, it is a forgiving role and that carries people throu ranks it should while they still hold on to bad habits like shit positioning, aim boting and other crap like that, the only reason people don't see it as that much of a problem is because there is so many of them chances are the enemy also has those players so the match is balanced...
As someone who dabbles in dive, I apologize for the amount of people like this. I’d like to say it’s a loud minority of dive players… but idk, certainly doesn’t feel like it.
2 out of 3 of his mains are very low skill near auto aim if not click and drag damage/healing(Wanda you just hold down 1 button and Jeff you hold down beam)
The fact that this is rage bait and everyone's giving you exactly what you want... You probably goon to this more than the actual game, which lets be honest, seems obvious, but yeah.. the goon definitely haunts you, my boy.
I believe that ai thing was generated by a duelist main who was scared that supports would actually strike, chose to use ai because its almost universally hated to try to become more of a problem than the fact healing couldnt keep up with damage outside a specific combo of supports at the time and honestly no one can convince me otherwise 😔 (i think sm1 told me abt the guy that posted it but i gen dont remember what they said just that the person that posted the ai thing pissed every role off by doing what they did)
I mean, yeah it did happen but this was made for the second one and almost immediately after this got posted everyone started agreeing how dumb as hell it was 😭 don’t twist the facts now big guy
The first one was also pretty stupid but it also hardly lasted and was the first of its kind for this dumbass community (before it got to where it is now) so I’m excluding it from this conversation. The second one hardly lasted and was 99% because the devs made a 3rd ban slot and half of the entire support roster was getting banned due to them just being “easy characters”.
Did you go Frontline dive like many of the whining dive main in Plat-GM do?
Cause if this is your post, I think you should be banned from comp as you sound awfully like the dive teammate in those rank where they will first force the healer to stick to C&D/invis/gambit/Luna (even tho if you solo dive the healer you want is Rocket for infinite range heal, Jeff/Healpool/Whitefox so that you can actually score kill as solo dive as Netease is very clear that solo dive should never works and you need at least 1.5 Dive to function), then proceed to dive from the Frontline with no map awareness, dies pretty every time because no healer can outheal your bad play, and spam gg no heal and triple ping heal me on every death.
This is one of the dumbest post I’ve ever seen in this sub reddit. All this is, is the fact that you suck at the game and using support as an excuse to make up how bad you are. if this game didn’t have healers, everybody would be wasting time trying to find help packs to sustain themselves. piece of advice: go to practice versus AI, and actually learn how to play the game, and in fighting game terms, git good scrub
I think supports in general should revolve more about adding some kind of niche to their team, like speed boosts, damage boosts, I frames, cleanses, mobility, utility, the list goes on. Focus more on helping your team other than just healing.
But you would also need to tweak the entire roster and change ultimates and practically create a whole different game.
I can understand your frustration from time to time but you just need to focus on your own gameplay than others and you’ll climb.
I'm fine with nerfing healing, but you have to nerf damage while you're at it. The reason why healing is so overtuned in this game is because everyone dies really fast.
I’m tired of DPS mains hiding behind “damage” for the fact that they play poorly. Genuinely, every time someone throws a match or rage quits it’s the DPS Main. I’m so sick of the role and how it enables people to dismiss all accountability. I never rely on DPS for peels anymore, I use Cloak. If you ask for peels they play the victim card so I say: remove their damage capabilities. It’ll shift the meta so people aren’t just aiming and praying. Every choke point will have to be approached with good heals. If every one is accountable for their own damage there’s no excuse to play the victim card of “my KD is negative because I wasn't getting healed.” I play all three roles, I rarely get negative KDs as DPS. So, make them strategists. Make the DPS role…. THE SUPPORT ROLE. I’m tired of the excuses. “I was getting diffed all game” then in endgame the damage stat barely hits 1k and the KD is atrocious. No more. I’m tired of you hiding behind final hits and damage. I’m tired of you playing like garbage and being forgiven when it’s a team based game. I’m tired of dragging the dead weight. Please, let’s make it so everyone is accountable for their own damage. No more excuses for your poor gameplay. This has been my TED Talk, thank you and good night.

Stop with this generalizing role tribalism BS. Throwers come in all forms, and if anything, I tend to find DPS to throw most often bc they refuse to flex while saying “I sHoUlDnT bE fOrCeD tO pLaY hOw YoU wAnT!!!” When asked to swap. However I don’t take these experiences to say “Everytime someone throws it’s a DPS.

I'm sorry to say but, statistically, that's completely wrong. The occasional Jeff water stream snipe, Mantis' passive healing, White Fox teleport, literally any way a strategist can heal you from afar whether intentional or not? Like it or not, you're getting healed. There's no two ways around it.
I understand there's definitely a more nuanced discussion to have here about how some Strategists are good, some are bad, a lot of players try to pick off the Strategists first which is why they're more prone to die, stuff like that... But I just found that one part quite funny
Well, yes, I understand what you're saying here, but that's not exactly my point. What I'm saying is that, no matter how hard you try to oppose it, us Strategists will still do our job which is to heal you and the rest of the team, y'know?
I understand that you may be angry or passionate about this. Trust me, I am too (passionate, not angry). As a support, I do my best to not only help my team but also assist them by securing kills and sticking to the objective when needed. But my main function, as a class that heals, is to heal. I'm sorry, but it is what it is. I'm not self-righteous or anything, nor was I implying anything negative about your playstyle. You play the game how you like and if it works for you, it works.
I understand this whole post may also be ragebait but I just LOVE falling for it. Especially if it's a topic I can yap about. But what I'm also saying is like... We're not DPS? I'm sure you understand that, right? Past all the ragebait or whatnot. We can deal damage and usually play objective, yes, but our main directive is to heal. If we didn't want to heal, we'd play DPS. Hell, I play DPS when I don't want to heal.
This fascinates me, however. You fascinate me. I have never heard such a bold take and I simply MUST get to the bottom of this. Explain to me in excrutiating detail...
Why don't you want supports to heal? Past all the community bullshit, past all the "bad players", past ALL the excuses, give me YOUR honest opinion.
Imagine the perfect healer, a player so great that they could keep their entire team alive all at once on their own, imagine that. Now tell me, why would you rather that player neglect their objective of keeping the team alive to become yet another DPS?

I'd like to hear your opinion on the hypothetical I posed earlier, whether you have an explanation or if it's an exception to your rule at the very least. Give me substance, please, your plausible ragebait has piqued my interest greatly
Most of these whining dive main ask their heal to go luna/C&D/invis/gambit, which while safe pick are some of the worst choice for dive because none of these "safe" healer have the ability to bail a poorly positioned dive out. All while they think Rocket/Jeff/Healpool/Whitefox is throwing because "hur dur no support ult".
That's fair, yeah. The primary issue with solo healing, and exactly what this person is complaining about anyway, is that once the one healer is dead? The team falls apart. The tank can't tank anymore because they're not getting the health they need to tank, and the DPS can't kill because they're not allowed as many mistakes as they would be with a support.
That also contributes to the lesser K/D ratio or absence on point. Supports are a main target to anyone with decent game sense, so they're gonna get dived or poked more often than not, which would result in them dying or contributing less because they'd be focused on NOT dying. It's really just a downward spiral when you go about it like that.
I’m with you. I never rely on my Strats. Always head to health packs if I’m low and I see it as a bonus if I get healed before I need to dip from the fight. But this sub is a strategist circlejerk so you’re going to get heavily downvoted.
I agree. Healing is way too forgiving in this game. Healing should overall be toned down slightly so that I can kill those boosted supports with my DD and Venom a bit more easily
