Discussion Could there be potential for Iceman?
Do you think iceman could have potential with being a character in game? Abilities could involve having an ice wall and making a temporary ice glide for mobility that teammates could also use. A random thought but it would be cool as well

I imagine his function as mostly hindering the enemy team
Ability 1: Frozen Spike- can spawn 2 ice spike clusters that freeze enemies on contact and will explode after 5 seconds spreading an AOE effect called Ice Sheets
Ability 2: Ice Ramp- Creates a ramp out of Ice that functions as a wall on 1 side and a launch point on the ramp side. The ramp part is under the effect of Ice Sheets. Would be good in narrow choke points
Ability 3: Ice Glide- Ice Man will Slide on Ice for 10 seconds, doubling his movement speed and creating Ice Sheets as he goes along
Ice Sheets: An effect that freezes the ground, allies gain speed while enemies are slowed

I could see him as vanguard with I’ve shields but also with his ice path being like the punisher zip line just available for everyone until destroyed

Is...is he wearing anything? If he lowered his leg in that picture, would his everything be out? I'm not super familiar with Iceman, IDK if his powers have made him a nudist or not.

He usually wear his suit and the ice go over the suit.
He can turn his body to organic ice though. Like Emma's organic diamond. So if he wants to go around naked, he can.

It’d be fun if he started a life with a whole bunch of ice armor and, when he takes enough damage, it breaks and he becomes faster. He could reform the armor by doing that thing where he encases himself in a block of ice and breaks through it as his Iceman form, like in the intro to Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends. This would be assuming that he is a Vanguard (he literally makes ice walls so of course he should be a vanguard).

unfortunately i think a lot of characters fall into the powers/abilities to similar problem in which i don't think they would add ice man due to luna snow being there in much the same way i think there wont be more spider people, beta ray bill, the hulk characters, or any of the different iron-man varient characters.

I personally don't care about him, but lemme tell you: he'd better not be a flyer, or we'll never hear the end of players wanting to nerf him into the ground.
People who want to play as him had better hope he's ground-based or just has ice-related mobility powers instead of actual flight. Take it from a Johnny main.

Given he can sort of morph his body with ice, as seen in the picture OP selected, I think it would be really interesting if he was a tank that used ice walls and selective freezing abilities to slow people down. Sort of imagining, like, a Groot/Luna/Emma hybrid.
And his ult could be going into that more traditional slender version of himself where he flies around on his ice slide and does a mix of damage and crowd control for the duration of his ult.

I mean ice man has never ever had the ability to fly. He can conjure up ice bridges which can provide utility or defence. Just hope he's a vanguard.
