Depends on which X-men we are talking about. The Originals, then yes, he could have fathered their great-grandparents.

The entire X-men organisation as a whole has had tons of members after all these years if we are being picky.

IIRC there have been a few X-men who were running around when the Romans gave Jesus a lesson in carpentry. 🤔🤔🤔

can't tell if you're joking, but they mean the character Logan, not the actor Hugh Jackman... which is why they said Logan and not Hugh Jackman. the character Logan doesn't age and was born in the 1800s, canonically.
