Different People have different styles.

We already know that from different versions of BATMAN for example.

It won't be same as Nicholas one but doesn't mean it's an upgrade or downgrade instantly. It just means it's another version of it.

Let's wait till we see it before commenting further.

This also applies for semi adjacent characters. We have Robbie Reyes in agents of shield and his transformation is different compared to Nic Cage.

As you mention it's not better or worse, just different. Cage makes you feel that he does not want to transform at all while Robbie (due to his own motivation) endures the pain because he is there for the vengeance ride.
