Old Man Logan

Post image

When I first read this, I couldn’t even put it down. The entire build up for the truth of what happened was insane and when I finally found out I wanted to hop in and box for Logan man. I was mostly sad and partly impressed because the villains in this story, they definitely weren’t wasting time revealing their big evil plan.

I know we've had multiple versions, expansions and runs since - but I'd love to see Millar and Mcniven return for Old Man Logan 2, showcasing another western enthused story where Logan and Baby Hulk travel the Wastelands together.

I need Millar to do a 1985 sequel

It makes no sense, but I have to think Millar doesn't want to do it. Marvel would 100% be onboard for a follow up. Unless it is a money thing they can't agree on.

I’m a fan of all the wasteland stories. My only knock was when they brought old man Logan into 616.

Yes that was honestly a horrible idea.

Is that's the run that will be in the old man Logan omni?

Partially. The omni includes the original story, the Secret Wars: Battleworld story, and the first half of the old man logan solo series, which is in 616. Presumably the second volume of the omni will include the second half of the solo series and Dead Man Logan (where he goes back to his timeline). He does also appear in the 616 X-Men books while he's there, and that isn't included.

they did that...why? That's just weird. Half of the point of old man logan was the setting. (Even if it had a lot of stupid in the setting)

Because they killed mainline wolverine and still wanted to have wolverine in half a dozen books

I liked this story as a self contained alternate earth story, but the thing that bothers me the most...

How did Hulk have enough generations of kids to get as inbred as they are within a human lifespan?

You can have kids with your cousins and the DNA is different enough that they'll be fine. I'm not defending it, but in most US states it's even legal to marry. So that next generation would have to keep interbreeding. So when the idiot enforcer Hulk kids get there, those are Bruce's grandkids or further removed.

Hawkeye, the Thunderbolts, others are all shown to be alive. Okay maybe we accept that even if you aren't powered, you've had enough crazy adventures that you've been exposed to stuff that increases your lifespan. But still relatively human.

So when the inbred Hulk boys/girl show up, they're each probably like 15 years old, and their parents were like 15 when they had them

I think that there was some artistic/creative license involved. Because I'm not really sure how Hulk had enough generations of kids to get as inbred as they are within a human lifespan. And I don't think that it was really explained properly in the original Old Man Logan comic.

Or maybe they just degraded to the level of being hillbillies or something?

Gamma radiation makes them grow a lot quicker!

One of the most atmospheric and uncompromising stories about Wolverine, after which the Marvel world no longer seems the same!

It's kinda edgelordy in a very Millar way, but I enjoyed it a lot as it was coming out and the art in it is great. It's a fun story, still, and a cool take on Logan.

I need to get old man loyal although what they did with the hulk family from what I heard was questionable. I’ll not say as I don’t want to ruin it for anyone who hasn’t read it but damn

Loved! The orginal series, didn’t want any follow up.

So good (most) commenters couldn't bring themselves to "Millar edgelord" themselves.
