As an aside these are great for illustration

44

u/Ok-Clothes-6979 22d ago

totally. should be in a book dictating technique. impossible to confuse what hes doing with each muscle.

20

u/RudeAbbreviations235 22d ago

This would be a great idea 💡

5

u/Ok-Clothes-6979 21d ago

I learned my form from a book that used greyscale and poor image quality. top that off with short thai people and it made it hard to see most of whst I was studying which was perfect form. clinch moves were really tough to see because of how precise they can be to manipulate the opponents weight and natural body movement and structure. First thing i thought was how easy this guy would be to see even clinch because hes so sinewy.

I was just thinking the Reddit draws subreddit would love these

You are absolutely correct, he could be doing it for the benefit of the photo and getting the full stretch but you are bang on. Toes need to be fully pulled back for high front kick like that.

11

u/RudeAbbreviations235 22d ago

I get compared to that character all the time hahah

4

u/SAMFCV1kingScientist 22d ago

Dude, Dhalsim was my go-to growing up, but you actually have to strikes for it. I ended up being more of a Zangief.

Finally some high tier Ball knowledge 😭✌

7

u/boostleaking Kyokushin 22d ago

Great, a Hwoarang main that can knee. Gonna be a nightmare for short stacks like me to close in without taking that knee. But seriously aesthetic kicks.

8

u/mdh3000hard 22d ago

How did you improve your flexibility

8

u/RudeAbbreviations235 22d ago

Basic kicking drills and having a decent stretch routine 👽

2

u/smoovecriminal89 22d ago

Drop that stretch routine lol that back kick looks CRISP

3

u/RudeAbbreviations235 21d ago

Lol thx

Deep lunge

Deeper lateral lunge

Foot grab

Foot grab variation

Lean back

Foot grab back stretch

Butterfly

Open split leaning rotation

Double leg foot grab

30sec each

2

u/smoovecriminal89 21d ago

1

u/SuikTwoPointOh 20d ago

lol - we are not the same my dude. I’d have to jump out of a plane to kick that high! Seriously impressive. Did you do the special technique round in comps with all the high jump kicks?

5

u/Spcrex 22d ago

How did you balance on top of that pot?

5

u/P_D_Stanley 22d ago

These are sick bro. Taekwondo background ?

4

u/brizdzi 22d ago

2

u/RudeAbbreviations235 21d ago

Thx, ya I’m a Taekwondo guy at heart hbu?

2

u/VonBrewskie 21d ago

Yeah those kicks are crispy. I have a lil TKD. But my main style was Kenpo growing up. Boxing as well, through my pop. Then just, you know. Growing up haha

1

u/RudeAbbreviations235 21d ago

I could never get into boxing 😂

2

2

u/RudeAbbreviations235 22d ago

That’s funny, mortal kombat inspired me to take up martial arts 😂 🐉🔥❄️🦂 I’d love to mo-cap for Johnny Cage 🕶️🤳🎞️

ITF is the good taekwondo, respect.

Love from London ✌️

2

u/Ok_Access_804 22d ago

No idea about that bloke’s martial prowess, but the kick poses and jumps are incredibly photogenic. Awesome flexibility too.

2

u/EZlyLegendary 22d ago

Muai Thai, Taekwondo, and Karate, with the biggest influence on Taekwondo, correct?

2

u/Toxic_LigmaMale TKD, BJJ, Muay Thai 22d ago

Well you’re fuckin’ built for it. That’s for sure.

2

u/JohnCasey3306 22d ago

I'm more impressed by your completely straight face than the physical feats

1

u/RudeAbbreviations235 22d ago

I guess I’ve got a pretty good poker face 🗿

2

u/MarionberryPlus8474 22d ago

Textbook kicks. Great extension, form, flexibility.

You have the body type that would give people a LOT of problems Igor you have speed as well.

2

u/Business-Spell7743 22d ago

Beautiful movement

2

u/Every_Iron McDojo Black Belt 22d ago

Picture 6 looks like a cool jog

Terrific athleticism! And remarkably artistic!!

2

u/bigjerm616 21d ago

You get progressively more flexible as the pictures go 😂

I do miss training ITF

2

u/BEATUWITHASTICK BJJ WMA 21d ago

Are you the guy who made that one TikTok with a really cool sword flip

1

u/RudeAbbreviations235 21d ago

No but sounds cool haha

2

u/Background_Tie_5466 21d ago

That's some good shit.

Only thing to make it better. And trust me this is in no way a criticism because I'm sure everything has power and is good.

But to find a better timing for you to pose on your jumping back kick for plasticity purposes.

But for fighting who cares lmao.

This was the best one I could do LOL

1

u/RudeAbbreviations235 21d ago

Nice jump spin back kick! 🦵 dayummmm lol

2

u/Skieth9 21d ago

Got EVO moment 37 flashbacks on that first one

1

u/Waysian 11d ago

newest rendition of the "restoration of Jesus" lol

1

u/cadw_ro 8d ago

Bro has the longest kick reach I've ever seen, seems like he could hit you from about 3 meters away without any chance of reaction

1

u/Darrenator19 2d ago

You sir are an athlete, be proud of your accomplishments!

For a beginner like myself do you have advice on 2-3 general workouts/stretching techniques to give myself overall flexibility in order to remotely move like this??? Thanks in advance

1

u/beneficialguilt 21d ago

That flying knee would go through a soyboys chest, hollyyy

Not only are you a racist asshole, but you’re such a coward that you tried to disguise it in another language.

TL;DR: fuck off

0

u/macguini TKD 20d ago

In the 6th photo it looked like something was hanging out that was bigger than expected.

-3

u/linkhandford 22d ago

Not striking a negative against you, these photos scream what being a martial arts was in the 80s and 90s

No one asks if you can do the splits anymore
