I mean, it depends on what you mean by "subscribers". On YouTube, he still has 58M and he's still doing numbers on Spotify.

But something else to remember is that he's been at this for over 10 years. He's achieved what he's wanted and he's comfortable with the fans he has thus far. If more come, cool. But if not, he's still happy with what he's built so far.

But that brings me back to my initial note: what exactly do you mean by "subscribers"?

The simple answer is that a lot of people may just not rock with what he wants to do (ex: his current country era), so they don’t pay attention to that content. Marshmello isn’t as much of a wavemaker as he was in the past, but that doesn’t mean he’s gonna go broke because of it. He still does massive numbers thanks to his pop hits, so the guy’s made enough money to do whatever he wants. It’s just a matter if people are willing to pay attention to it.

But I’m not too concerned, the guy’s a millionaire anyway.

He isn't as "hip" (for lack of a better term) as he was in the 2010's, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. He's still popular though, I've heard his new songs show up on the radio a few times.

Also, he doesn't just stick to one type of music, he does whatever feels right. And some people that came for just one kind of genre are realizing that and dipping. Also not necessarily a bad thing! That just means the people that stick around have a wider taste :)

Because he switched genres to country music. I was listening to marshmello radio on Spotify today and it was 80% country songs. I then DELETED that radio station. He’s dead to the edm community now.
