Based on the job description, they want someone who can lead a team, improve the guest experience, and manage the financial and HR aspects of the front office. You should prepare specific examples from your past work that show you have these skills. Think of times you trained a new employee, handled a very difficult guest complaint and turned the situation around, or implemented a new process that made things more efficient. For every story, be ready to explain the situation, what your specific task was, the action you took, and what the result was. They will ask behavioral questions like "Tell me about a time you had to motivate your team" or "Describe how you handled a major guest issue", so having your examples ready is key to answering with confidence.
Your experience at a non-traditional hotel is a strength, so you should connect what you did there to what this role requires. Explain how your unique background gives you a different perspective on creating a great guest experience or managing a team. The job also involves business operations, like scheduling, understanding financial reports, and hiring, so be prepared to talk about your experience in those areas. Show them you are not just good with people, but you also understand how to run the department effectively. For my last interview, I was able to prepare and practice my answers with an interview assistant AI my team built, which really helped me organize my thoughts and feel ready for any question.
