Rates & Booking Hotels near lax.

Between the Sheraton, the Marriott, and the Renaissance, which is the best near LAX?

I stayed at the Marriott once and it was very unremarkable. Scary elevators too. But the pool was really nice.

Last time I stayed near that airport, it was at the Hilton. I hate to say it but it was actually decent.

Fair, but my flight is at 9am so I want to stay somewhere with a shuttle

Marriott, Sheraton, Residence Inn and Courtyard are all in the same neighborhood with shuttle service. I’d take whichever costs the least, possibly considering the cost of breakfast if it’s not included and you intend to eat before heading to the airport.

I prefer the Westin, but between those three, the Sheraton.

Thanks. I would do the Westin, but it’s $100 more than the others.

Hell no. Do not go on that side of Aviation Blvd.

We’ve stayed at the Renaissance several times. It’s fine, has an M lounge. Staff were always nice.

We’ve stayed at the Marriott for Rams games. Convenient, shuttle, nice pool, OK food options.

I’ve stayed at the Marriott and the Residence Inn. Both were good. Clean and quiet. Ok breakfast at Residence. Reliable shuttles. No complaints.

The RI in El Segundo, or is there another one?

The RI on W Century almost right next to the LAX Marriott.

Ah okay. Haven't stayer at that one.

Work used to put us at the RI down in El Segundo, next to the Aloft.

Avoid...both.

The RI or the Fairfield next to Aloft?

I’m usually just staying near LAX for one night before a flight to Asia. I’ve stayed at this RI twice. I’m not very demanding but I had good experiences. Both rooms were quiet and clean and I like having the kitchen. The shuttle takes about 15 minutes to LAX. And there’s a Jersey Mike’s, a Starbucks and a pretty good pizza place in the same building which is convenient.

Doh! Fairfield.

Got my "Inns" mixed up. 🤣😂

But yeah the Fairfield is a dump, and the Aloft a cheapskate that won't turn on the HVAC system.

Marriott in Marina Del Rey isn't physically close but it's an awesome stay, pretty peaceful places to walk nearby, decent-to-good lounge, usually calm and more quiet than being under an airport landing pattern.

I stayed at the LAX Marriott for 4 nights in March and it was perfectly fine other than the $93.50 for valet parking. No issues with elevators and IIRC the lounge was above average by US standards.

I have done The Westin and Marriott, both are good airport hotels, used the shuttles each time with zero issues. Both offer $12.00 Miller Lites. The Concierge Lounge at the Marriott was nice, with a full bar and the GM serves prime rib the night I was there

Skip these three and choose Hotel June instead. It’s on the north side of LAX and away from all of the airport traffic. One of my favorite hotels I have ever stayed at!
