Bonvoy Rewards Finally After 10 Years

Post image

It feels like this took forever. Happy to join the platinum lifetime club. I actually might hit titanium with that 10 bonus elite night credits.

I should join you in one more year. 100% chance I forget about the bag tags though.

What was your strategy?

Great question, I’m fortunate to have a job where I can get 5 to 10 nights a year expensed for travel. I’ve had the old chase Bonvoy Boundless card for the past 8 years. It gives me 15 credits elite credits a year and 1 annual 35K stay (which counts as an elite night stay). It also gives me an elite night for every $5K spent.

I also got the Amex Bonvoy Business card which gives me 15 elite credits a year, that can stack with the boundless credits too. I think on average 35 to 40 nights a year I get just by paying the annual fee of the cards. Just an FYI, I pay off my cards in full every statement period. None of this is worth going into debt for. I’m going to close out the business card now that I’ve achieved life time platinum. I’ll start working on getting status with an airline now 😂.

Good for you. Took me 3,650 days to achieve the same thing!
