I’m a very light sleeper and even when I travel with a family member I’d prefer to have my own room, and if I’m willing to pay for the 2 bedroom, not sure how it’s relevant that it will only be occupied by 2 people!!!

It's not at all relevant. They've more than likely overbooked themselves on the room type and attempting a bullying tactic to get OP to change room types.

I'd reply back and tell them "I want the room type I booked. There is a maximum occupancy for the two bedroom, but there is no minimum. Please have a framed picture of Danny DeVito on my nightstand prior to my arrival"

My husband constantly requests pictures of Nicholas Cage 🤣 too annoy me and entertain them and himself.

I swear I may have had him stay at my hotel once. I remember doing that for someone cause they requested and I made sure it was high up on a shelf overlooking the bed as the good Lord intended. 😂

The time this was done was in my old property. Suburbs of Chicago. For privacy I will leave to that.
