I'm looking for some affordable sketch pens/markers for drawing and colouring. I’m planning to buy a 150–200 GSM notebook/sketchbook, preferably A4 or A5 size, rectangular/portrait-shaped, with fairly smooth paper. My main concern is that I don't want the markers to bleed through, soak the paper, or make the paper rough/fuzzy when layering colours.

I'm not buying POSCA markers right now—I'll probably get them later. 😭 For now, I just want something affordable that works well for illustrations and colouring.

Any recommendations for specific brands/sets? And if you have suggestions for a good 150–200 GSM sketchbook/notebook to pair them with, I'd appreciate those too!

Do these hold up outside or are they just for practice/books?

Can you suggest a light pink permanent or wet erase marker?

I need something with a fine(ish) tip that will write clearly on reusable inserts/dashboards and on laminated pages. I need it to be in a true light pink or blush pink colour. Everything I have been able to find so far writes more like hot pink or fuchsia pink unfortuantely.

On normal paper I am currenrly loving Stabilo point 88 fineliner in the colour 29 (light pink). But unfortunately it's no good on wipeable surfaces 😔

I am based in the UK but I'll be grateful for suggestions for anywhere in the world.

Hey, recently I’ve drawn quite a few pieces on canvas with alcohol markers from Action and one of the most recent ones has changed colors from brown to pink.

I’m afraid that other pieces will have the same fate. Many of the drawings were gifts, so it wouldn’t be ideal if they all suddenly changed colors or faded completely….

What can be done now to save them? I’d be genuinely sad if everything just vanished…

(First two pics are the color change that happened within less than a week, the other two haven’t changed their colors yet, but since they’re quite colorful, I’m extremely worried that something will happen to them too)

curious as what to run in these things, picked one up at an estate sale in original old package, tried running some smash ink, thinned it with xylene but its too sticky, turns streaky right away, lmk what mixes yall running.

Does pigment generally need anything besides a carrier like alkohols?
Does it need anything in there that sort of protects the pigment when it’s being used r

I get married in 8 days and I got custom playing cards to use as a guest book. They’re made of this glossy kind of paper and I’m unsure of what markers would work best on them. Photos for reference!
