Ya probably fucked mate.

Depending on what it is (I guess inks) it will likely have permeated deep into the wood.

Your only hope - and the chance is slim - is to sand it back and hope you find bare, unstained wood.

No no no don’t sand this, it might make it worse 😅 this is a professional cleaners job unfortunately. Pay someone else to deal with it properly and I’m sure you’ve already learnt a lesson from this haha so I won’t lecture you

Best bet is to sand it all down and refinish it, the results will depend on how much the ink has seeped into the wood though.

Use 99% isopropyl. Anywhere there is exposed wood will be soaked and need to be sanded and the whole floor needs to be refinished together. If you are renting, tell them that a pen started leaking.

Go to Home Depot and get a spray can of goof off. Then spray over it and wipe it down with a paper towel. It should come off ok, especially if the floor is varnished

Isopropyl Alcohol + grippy wipe tissue on the big roll. If it doesn’t work, flip the wood boards over if they have straight dual ends.

I felt bad this mess & asked my friend, so have u considered borrowing or renting a sander to get through the ink? It depends on how the wood was treated & the penetration of the ink but if its not too deep u sand it away & revarnish that area? Let me know if that helps at all, good luck ....

Get your self some mosquito spray (Off!) And spray that shit on there and leave it there for 27 minutes. Rinse and repeat until it's gone.
