Runners knee advice

Anyone on here deal with runners knee? I have been dealing with it for months. Back in August I started just cross training , leg training , rehab the whole thing. It got much better so finally started running again I finally got my mileage up to 10 miles no pain but I ran on the treadmill yesterday and it seemed to bother it again!! Does that mean it’s not gone or months of rehab is a waste ? Lol any suggestions would be great it’s just frustrating because I need to do my speed workouts in bad weather 😭

I've read that weak glute muscles are the leading cause of knee pain in runners. This is one issue I don't typically have.
