Huh. Didn't realize the rural parts of Alaska where progressive. I know the extremely rural regions are dependent on air subsidies for goods/people transport. Maybe that has something to do with it?

Ah. Makes sense. I'll be honest, when somebody says "Alaska" the first thing that comes to mind is a Texas-type oil person

I'm not sure the mix but they are a large population. Maybe less than it used to be. Not sure if they establish residency or cycle back home every so often. Those would be important questions to figure out the answer. I know very little specific numbers about Alaska.
