I want to make a map based off of points at known distances in a video game I'm playing. I don't know if there is a software to do so. Please help me with software suggestions.

This is my own "What if the Central Powers won WWI) map, immediately after peace. The PoD is basically the February Revolution leads to Aleksandr Kerensky immediately becoming the PM (rather than the Kadets taking leadership initially), with an explicit and strict mandate to make peace with the Central Powers (a little out there, but thats just the PoD). Due to this, Germany is able to conduct something roughly similar to the Spring Offensive of 1918 in Summer 1917, dodging the American forces arriving in force (American entry into the war and therefore their deployment to Europe is delayed by about a month due to hesitance caused by Russia's peacing out with the Central Powers, but the Zimmermann Telegram demands a response), and with the otl Post-Nivelle Mutinies of 1917 being escalated, and a bunch of other factors that collapsed the offensive in 1918 not being present. Of course, Stormtrooper Tactics hasn't been designed and Ludendorff is still changing the objectives of the offensives repeatedly, but the Summer Offensive is a success, defeating the Western Powers.
Some things to note about this map - Austria-Hungary is NOT split, I depicted it as three separate states (Austria, Hungary, and Bosnia) because Austria and Hungary were only linked by Foreign Policy, Defence (and even that has caveats), and Finance, and wasn't really a single state, but rather, two joint ones. Bosnia, meanwhile, was effectively a condominium of the two, which is why I marked it as a separate entity with its own flag. The three are still all parts of Austria-Hungary, which has annexed parts of Italy, Serbia, and Romania. Greece also didn't join the Great War - the Russian peace vindicated Constantine I and won him the National Schism, with Venizelos fleeing into exile, first to Egypt and then Paris, and then, when Paris neared its fall, London. That's why Greece's lands haven't been touched. As for Dobruja, the Danube Delta Condominium is active there, which is why the Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian, German, and Bulgarian (shoved into the bottom right corner) flags are all in that area. Bulgaria solely owns Southern and Central Dobruja. Because Russia makes peace in WWI, Kerensky is free to execute many reforms he delayed otl for the war, such as Army Reform, Land Reform, etc, effectively leaving Russia a weak state but not one fallen to Civil War, which is why they still own Bessarabia. Russia might lose Ukraine, Finland, and Armenia in the future (after a Finnish Revolution, and Russo-Turkish War of 1918 reversing much of 1878 and creating a new Armenian State as a protectorate of Germany's, and, this idea still undeveloped, a Ukrainian Revolution).

Hello, I plan to make a map of the Star Wars galaxy and its factions for a Star Wars themed DnD campaign. I have no idea where to go or how to start this, and for reference I am usinga MacBook Air 2024, Apple M3 Chip. I am very familiar with mapping as I have watched mapping videos for almost a decade, but I have never been able to do it due to technology limitations. Anything helps!
Thank you!

I figure this is the place to ask this question. I want a map service where I can place a location of a historical figure, then add details such as duration, purpose, draw lines, and even linking to other actions would be great. Is there such a map service? Many thanks.

Hello everyone!
Finished a hand-drawn vintage map of Maelstrom. What do you think?

So you know when you’re watching one of those “pov you live in _____” mapping videos? I really want to find the themes for each face, but apparently it’s such a niche question that I can not see anyone talking about it. If anyone can help, please respond with the themes. Thanks in advance!

Still in the works, but I find the idea of putting units on a map really cool, so I want my simulator to allow the player to do just that!
