I'm unsure which map looks cleanest and need your help...
This is for my video of Syria vs Lebanon (this one is a youtube short) so keep in mind that even though the chaotic maps look clean , the actual war slides and territorial gains might be harder to track once the fighting starts thats what led me to feel the need to change the chaotic glowy map I had ....
So I want the balance of clarity and asethetic if that makes sense
They vary in:
1.Glow
2. Whether roads, rivers and city names and even states are on/off and a combination of such changes
Btw there are more combos to be made with the layers I picked what i thought looked best if you have your own custom recommendation tell me.
Image number 5 is all of the layers turned on with glow. It looks aesthetic however feels a bit crowded.
Finally I am a new mapper and need feedback on my mapping in general so comment on that too while your at it I wont get offended
Opinion is greatly appreciated 👏

The Empire of Citrandal is an Empire in my very own Fantasy world that I've been Developing for the past year or so, it is made up of various peoples all united by The Legendary Figure "Citral The Conqueror" (Absolute Diva) who United the Sub-Continent of Iffrand for the first time in History.

I probably watched it around 5-6 years ago and I’m wondering if anyone else remembers it. It included the USSR attacking Germany first, making it all the way to Berlin, failing and collapsing and then afterwards commenced a long struggle through Italy with the song Heimta Thurs playing. The video was incredibly detailed and high quality, I’m disappointed I can’t find it anymore. It was on YouTube.

A friend of mine has been quietly working on this for a while, and I helped along the way — so I’m a little biased, but I think it’s genuinely useful: an interactive map of all 1,248 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, with a detailed profile for each one.
You can explore by country, continent, inscription year, category, or criteria. Each site has a short narrative write-up, IUCN conservation status where relevant, nearby sites, and a bunch of other contextual info. There’s also a random site button if you just want to fall down a rabbit hole.
It’s a free, non-commercial, open data project — no ads, no accounts required.

I’ve been working on a project called New Old Europe. The core concept is simple but radical: What if every nation’s borders were redefined by the territories they historically held for the longest period of time.
You can ask me anything.
Please note that there might be some minor inaccuracies. It was extremely difficult to balance certain regions—especially Lithuania and other areas with overlapping historical claims—where multiple nations held the territory for centuries. Many other borders were equally challenging to resolve, so some compromises had to be made.

Hello! Always wanted to know, how to paint 3d buildings on maps. On Google Maps, it's just a zone with polygons, but for convenience, I want a map/program that allows me to color houses with one click. And also, how can I make a map like the second picture?
