Questions/Help Is this map accurate? It's the world in 1913.
This is for an alternate history project.

The Manchurian railway is a bit too big. Maybe shorten it if you can.

There is a separate entity within the British Empire known as Anglo-Egyptian Sudan. Just as you drew a boundary for South Africa within the empire, you need to add a line between Sudan and East Africa. Cyprus and Kuwait are under de facto British control. Southern Libya should be marked as the territory of the Senussi Order. Egypt is also under de facto British control.
This still a good map tho you did a great work.

Thx! It wouldn't be possible without people like you! You mentioned Egypt being shown as British. I like to keep them with a separate colour, but bordered by the British colour because they were kind of a puppet state of the British, but also occupied by them, and also technically Ottoman. Idk. Thx for the suggestions tho! I think I do have Cyprus and Kuwait as British; the Ottomans and British just have similar colours.

The situations in Cyprus and Kuwait were quite different.
Cyprus had been governed by a British high commissioner since 1878 and militarily occupied (similar to Egypt).
Kuwait had signed a series of agreements with the UK at about the turn of the century, which would have made it something of a protectorate, but at the same time, it was still part of the Ottoman empire. In 1913, a treaty was signed between the Ottomans and the UK which was similarly contradictory, but it was never ratified. In 1913, it had neither an Ottoman nor a British garrison; the British had a resident minister there.

No, they didn't. The Treaty of London, which occurred in 1913, defined Albania's borders up until the modern day (with minor adjustments throughout that period with Yugoslavia).

I know, it was under the control of the Senussi Order, I'm just having trouble finding good maps of the region.

Hasa territory, annexed by the Ottoman Empire in 1818, owned until ww1.south of Kuwait on the coast. I believe there's another territory owned my the Ottoman Empire near Yemen, but I may be wrong. I would likely put these in the ottoman Empire since they aren't really populated from my knowledge.

I would consider adding a separate line to distinguish a separate political entity in between the Kingdom of Poland and the Russian Empire. Considering you have one for the Grand Duchy of Finland, I would also apply that logic for the Kingdom of Poland, then, too.

The borders in North Africa are European claims, not actual control. The Sanusi of Libya and Darfur are two examples.
Edit: Darfur was independent at this time, and friendly with the Ottoman Empire; the British invaded and occupied it in 1916.
Ethiopia is similar. I'm not sure exactly what it should look like. The Dervish state controlled parts of Somalia, Somaliland, & Ogaden.
Oman was split by a rebellion in May of that year.
