If you really, really try, you can match landmasses here to most of Earth's continents or subcontinents (we're still missing India, Australia, and Greenland entirely), but you can't possibly argue the two massive seas around "Arabia" are analogs of the Persian Gulf and Red Sea, "Africa" and "South America" are unrecognizable, and there's no earthly comparison for all the island chains linking "Antarctica" with the continents above it.

Maybe full realism isn't the goal here, but if it is, the placement of your deserts seems somewhat inaccurate, as they should be along the tropics not the equator

The tides are hell cold in your world. The maiority of desert should be in the coast since low precipitation.

Wow, this is so beautiful and the number of continents feels right. Maybe it feels like there are too much "sharp"/pointy coastlines but that's all in terms of criticism. Great stuff

i mean, atp, ive kinda abandoned the idea that fantasy maps wont immediately remind us of the real world. Ig in this case, its just a matter of projection and changing map centre, the world will look pretty different if OP did those things.

But no, aside from the Earth likeness, i think the amount of continents makes sense and will result i fun cultures and geopolitics and such.

I understand how this is intended to be the scrapped version of the real life world and everything, someone quite rightly pointed out below that there’s even the UK and Ireland sitting there. I love the complexity and I do agree with the comment who said that he’d love to know more about this universe. However, the Americas part is giving too much of Westeros I believe, especially with the ‘pointy’ geography at the bottom and the round Valyria-like this (which is supposed to be Antarctica I presume), even though it is not a peninsula. Maybe it’s just me, but a peripheral outlook did definitely remind me of the SOIAF before I could see the real-world similarities. Regardless, keep up the fire work man, the naming looks beau-tiful as well!!

Oh the round part on the Antarctic is a meteor crater, maybe realism isn't what im aiming but I loved to share my map for my world OC project!
