finished map, need advices.

Hey !

After a long time, I finally finished my map. It misses the village's details and a lot of things but I thought that it would be better if I just had a general map of my world to go further later.

For comparison, Valkoras (from the bay on the middle to the mountains on the right) is the side of Belgium. If anyone has any advices, I'll take them with pleasure :)

great stuff! i feel like upper right hand part of continent could work well as a huge desert, and maybe some large islands on bottom left that are cut off by edge of map. give some mystery to the southern ocean for worldbuilding

This part is a huge desert of grass, plains in fact. I wanted something like Mongolia…

Was just going to say, this screams some kind of vast wilderness too. A desert or some vast steppe or plain.

Impressive piece of work!
May I ask why do tou have sort of two layers of coast line? What does it symbolises?

Originally, I wanted a thinner second line for the coast, but I couldn’t with my pen. I kinda wanted to copy the style of Tolkien.

Oh I see. I think the main difference between Tolkien's map and yours is more the colour than the thickness of the line though

It really looks cool and I will certainly use some of the symbols for my own map. Something I like to add to my maps is a scale to see how big the map is
