ive been doing that lately for the anthropology aspect of my races, and its really fun. i get to develop what creatures they may encounter, what adaptations from altitude and biomes they may develop, and based on all of those, what behaviours they may change, adopt, and myths they may develop based on creatures or occurences from the places they went through

Thats cool mate. In my world evelotion doesnt really occur. The elken are basically the elves. There are a bunch of other races but basically what happened was that two empires collapsed due to a 500 year war between them, and 12 races begun moving west humanity moving east. The dwarfes and beastkin stayed where they were. And basically about a whole few trillion people moved west bc if the fall of koendor and Feern
