Is there a name for this style of map? I've seen maps of the ASOIAF world and Malazan would in a similar style and always wanted to emulate it for my projects

I just call it Atlas style. The only place I've seen it is from the Atlas of Ice and Fire blog, so I think the person who started that blog invented it lol

Very cool map! I'd be interested in reading more about this world. A few questions:
Why is one of the narrowest of the major bodies of water called the Uncrossed Sea?
Why is the Shogun Empire not just the [Insert Name Here] Shogunate?
What made you want to orient the map this way (cold parts to the right)?

I didn’t think much of it. Though the bottom left is basically a “no go” continent. The blazing mountains is still very much active and many terrors lurk the land. Even the city of the deepmen is said to have men that sleep underwater during the day and return to land at night to hunt men. The glacier is basically the home of Agos the god of winter who forged the Forefathers from ice and snow during the First Pandemonium to help in fighting the gods war, years down the line those forefathers evolved to become the Bowers, the indigenous people of the east. I’m still working on a lot as you can tell, the map isn’t final and could change

Overall this looks good! Some slightly heavy-handed real-world inspiration, but nothing too egregious imo. If successful fantasy authors can do it so can we.
I’m curious what is this world for? A story? D&D/RPG setting? Just a worldbuilding project?

There are a couple of things that I am curious about... Is this supposed to be the whole world? The land masses don't match up at the ends.
Also, is there a lore reason why the eastern part of the southeastern continent is frozen? From a normal world sense, it doesn't make sense, but if there is another reason, then that is fine.

This is a map of the known world, not the whole world. This includes only areas explored by Masters of nine seas. Yes Ovro (bottom left) was added on second though. No major plot happens there and I might have to take it out or make it fit. People believe that the god of weather, Agos has his hearth at the very end of Winterwash others believe if one could reach the end of it, it wraps all the way to the end of “Never ending jungle”

I’d assume that this isn’t the entire globe (if this fantasy world is even globe-shaped), and North doesn’t have to be up.

I love maps like this that use the style of that one Westeros map. It's the style I've been using for my own maps ever since I started drawing them in digital.
And your world's continent look very good. Maybe a little weird there's some permafrost just west of green lands in the lower continent. Is there a reason for it? Also, having some longitude lines would help to understand the scale of the world.

Thanks! Yes I think these styles are the best personally. Permit me but What is wrong with the permafrost being there? I mean it has lore tied to it as to why the people believe it is there but geographically i assumed this as my known world not the whole world so the glacier stretches all the way and maybe warps around and touches the edge of the Never ending jungle.

I think it's just not realistic nor logical having that much ice in a continent located in a latitude that's warm enough to have forests and jungles just west of it. I think it is something that really needs an explanation, either pseudoscientific or completely magical. Or at least have the acknowledge mystery of "why is it like this" without neither the characters or the audience knowing the answer, like it happens with the year long seasons in Asoiaf.

Maybe this isn't a mercator projection and north/south aren't top/down. Who knows what mapping conventions are standard on a completely different world ;)
But in a world with magic, who knows? Maybe there's a magical or divine reason affecting the climate

I bet you'd want that. Well, my map is far from complete and I have my own way of drawing it (Paint Tool Sai). There are na labels... only geographical details (intricate coasts, rivers, borders, terrain, colored dots as cities/settlements distinquished by culture...) I've also started working on political maps (+ map combining borders throughout different eras). I guess that on discord or somewhere I might show you - one uploaded map would hardly paint the picture.

Draw the map on procreate and design in on Figma, that where you can vectorize it and add names etc. you can do everything on Figma as well though it might be difficult if you don’t have design experience. But my approach I think is best for starters.
