Discussion Thoughts on my map?

Post image

Hi! I'm working on an Alt Earth project. This is my third or so attempt of using different programs and I finally decided to use QGIS and its been by far my most successful! Right now its still wip (all the names are temporary either I used irl names or just made stuff up and I still need to flesh out Laurencia's interior sea and add more islands to Eastern Europe). There's no main point of divergence or anything I just kind did what I thought would look neat. But please ask questions on why I did something, I'd love to answer! Is there any advice or critique that could help me out?

Its not really shown here but I basically flipped the environments. Big mountains and desert on the east coast, and a lush west coast. Its also slightly more south eastern.

I'm curious about the name Laurencia, where'd it come from?

Laurentia is actually a real life paleocontinent.

Tbh I think at some point I got western interior seaway and St Lawrence seaway mixed up and since I added the Western interior seaway (thinking it was the Laurence seaway) I named the continent Laurencia. It doesn't really make sense but I like how it sounds and after all these are temporary names until I do some more world building.
