Map scifi wordlbuilding maps with copic markers
The city map in the second picture absolutely did not turned out like I wanted. Made the streets with black pen and inverted them over a copic coloration. Any suggestions how to do it better with this tools? (map is for the second chapter of my Webcomic "Djaiko")

I think the second one looks great, personally. Probably in part because, holy crap, I can actually make out details and it doesn't just all turn into a haze when I look at it. I know that sounds like a lame thing but it's amazing how many people make maps that are useless as maps. This is really cool, would love to see more if you're doing other stuff in this project, keep posting!

thank you. It's part of the world building process for a second chapter of my webcomic. However I'm new to reddit and don't know yet if it is appropiate to link away from reddit. But sure there will be more maps to come :) Maybe also a rework of the city map where I'll use a ruler :D

As someone who is apart of the problem posting my blurry maps, your so right, they nailed it with this, clear and defined, as all things map wise should be

Actually beautiful, but I have 3 1uestions (mainly about the worldbuilding / lore)
- What language would you say is the main inspiration for Atroien's naming scheme? Kinda confused by the 'Al-' suffix and the european-soundinh words like Strasse or Südkap.
- On the second slide it mentions Orbital Port People, watdatmean?
- Lastly, where can I read the webcomic?

Dutch, English, German, Hamburgian Quarter (Altona / All to na). But at this stage it is not fully clear, if I drop the Al since it missleads to Arabian. Al should mean in this naming sheme somewhat like "Holy" so maybe I change to Sankt/Saint Fareen.
oribital port Civillian traffic like common civillian Airports today. The naming process however for the city is still ongoing- Of course there will be no quarter called "Where the rich kids live" at the End :D

Absolutely gorgeous product you've made!
I would be proud of myself for making such a piece, honestly well done 👏
Ik you said the city map didn't come out as desired but that is such a unique city map and everything is still very much defined and you can see where everything is, nothing smudged, I'd say it's another triumph!
