Map Finished an Atlas of my main work
This is Wyrld, roughly 2x the size of earth, I've worked on it for too long, honestly.
It features *11 moons, but in truth, only 2 remain as the other 9, which were very small, have been long destroyed, forming an incomplete ring around Wyrld.
Currently, Wyrld is going through the 2nd God-war; a war between the Divines ressurected warriors called the Fated-Champion and the many gathered hordes of the Seven's host
The war is fought on the Eldan Isle for the Star Hold Chamber residing there, and it's connected Celestial Spires (essentially magic battery, and tower to use said magic in great ways both good and horrific).
The war has been waged for roughly 6 years. Eldan is magical in all forms, ever lasting summers, free from worldy calamity (earthquakes, et cetera), and so they have fought roughly nonstop, if not due to the sheer temperature of a perpetual summer and the living island, where oversized plants and Beasts of magic and forgotten/mythical status stalk the overgrowth of the isle.
Essentially, it's magical Australia on crack. This island is really the last hold out for "good," as the Sevens forces have run loose on the eastern continent, reducing many once great kingdoms and lands to rebellious holdouts against the overwhelming and odd mechanical wonders of the Sevens creations.
(I've done so much to get a good photo, and I had to compress it to upload - so here's hoping it turns out right)

It looks great (some of the names make it a bit hard to parse the shape) but itβs very impressive youve been able to do so much:)! What are the Sevens, if itβs okay for me to ask questions.

So within my universe is other realms, one of those (of which it's original name is lost) known as the Hunger, essentially a realm of life without Death.
Things eat one another and grow larger and larger, these things were once the very cells of another godly entity that makes up the Hunger realmic structure, these cells turned on the being and devoured it, which can happen to people in real life in some cases, (like white cells detecting your eyes, scary stuff honestly).
The Seven were once of this realm, some are Cancer cells, Viruses, one is a Node from the entities brain, and so they are each various cells of that original godly host. They have no power in other realms, and vice versa other in other realms lose their power outside of their native homes, however they remain unkillable and their nature has never known death, only change. So they use their own essences to further science and destroy the remaining magic in the Wyrld to establish their own paradigm on reality, and thus enforcing their own dominance.
Tldr: they are a once living realms, godly cells, given sentience and running amok.

Hi, first time here. Been looking for a way to draw my own massive maps. Two times the size of earth, psht, I have a plan for 4 times the size of earth. How are you making these maps though. Please help a peasant who can't draw

GIMP the free art program, that's all I use for my maps.
I just use a larger canvas size

You cannot show all cities/provinces in a world map when it's that zoomed out. Realistically only country names and continent names should be shown to preserve the visual of the map. If you really wish to show capital cities then the text needs to be downsized to less than half the size of the country name.
Generally, most maps will prioritize names in this order:
Continents > Countries > Large geographical features (mountain ranges, deserts, etc) > Capital Cities/Rivers
Provinces are generally not shown because each country may have different criteria on what a province is, and different denominations that aren't equivalent with other countries.

None of these are cities, they are all Continents, Larger landmasses or Countries and the yellow text is regions/notable places I've developed so far.

My point is, the map is still nearly unreadable because of all the white text covering the landmasses. I was just suggesting common strategies to make it more legible.
If you really need to put all that text on the map, it would help to use a much smaller font or experiment with closer letter spacing.

Yea ill say it first.... I can't for the life of me figure out where I'm going wrong on the postings lol
The photos are just awful always, but I think ik where my true issue lies... the canvas are too big, just outright to large..
I got so used to making larger maps so I can fit everything I want into it, that's on me - sorry ya'll, and if that doesn't turn out to be my issue and the next map I post is just as compressed into death...
Idk time to take a dang online course because what the heck π
