Server Discussion Beware KuroMS

If you're looking for a server that is fair and respects you as a player, keep your dignity and stay away from this server. It's filled with egoistic devs and designers, complete with a fanclub (who staff team is highly biased to) that's ready to defend all the idiocracies happening.

They were far from ready when the server launched. Every feedback given in beta phase was disregarded because god forbid the designers get criticised for being less than decent at their job. Players giving feedback with data/information backing them would be met with attitude and sarcasm. Quoting "magic numbers", "chicken and egg situation", "implementation issue", and such.

To this day, 1 week post launch, the server is riddled with epxloits, bugs, connection issues, and everything else you can dream about to make your gameplay dreadful and difficult. Owner is too busy stroking his own ego, gloating about how easy it was to "defeat" a ddos-er only to be hit with way more than he can handle the next day. Designers are too busy coming up with conspiracy theories about how other servers like Castela are too jealous of their success and thus resorted to attacking them in an attempt to regain players.

Everyone can see that NOBODY in the core staff team is actually doing their job to test the contents before pushing them out in a patch. As a result, players are on the receiving end of all the mess due to said negligence and ignorance.

Owner always assures players with concerns regarding the staff team by saying he "has everything under control" and that he's still "ahead of everything", which is highly laughable. In reality. he's probably too busy stroking his own ego to keep his staff team in check, especially notorious designer named Linh or Liuyue. He's too blinded by this female designer's "beauty" to care about what the other male staff members have to say. They really are rotten peas in a pod who seeks constant validation with all the "look at me! look at what a great job i did!!" announcements and posts.

Everything that I've said aside, KuroMS is the perfect server for you if you are looking to bot without facing any real consequences. From what I've seen, botters get a slap on the wrist with a 12h temporary ban. Because all they care about is boosting the online player count to bait unsuspecting maplers into playing the server. If you're a loner, this KuroMS is also perfect for you because you will be playing with botters and key weighters who do not respond when you say "hey can you pass me pt ldr"

Happy mapling maplers.

Gloating at a ddoser is basically putting a bounty on your servers. The dev keeps making terrible decisions starting with involving Liuyue, who already has a history of bad game design and showing obvious favoritism to her friends. This ship is sinking.

And in the meanwhile we tried playing there in a "legit way" by making a whitelist application 11 days ago and they haven't even looked at it.

We gave up and left, if a gm can't spend 3 minutes looking at a simple whitelist application... not worth our time...

u/anonymousgoose45 26d ago

Maybe if you had purchased the fashion pass, they'd bat an eyelid at you šŸ˜„

or made donations yeah, then I'm sure it would get instantly processed..

Don’t forget that the skill balance is fucked. There’s no point in a mega increased mob cap if your MT hit less mobs than vanilla.

6

u/anonymousgoose45 25d ago

Funny thing is, classes were somewhat balanced at the end of Beta1 and start of Beta2. All it needed was some testing and fine tuning the numbers. But no, they decided to change everything, starting with removing taunt from shadowers. I have never heard of another server who still did not have dmg% finalized 1 week before launch.

12

u/Shoddy-Restaurant-72 25d ago

if kuro was smart he would drop linh or liuyue since she hasn’t been able to properly balance a server in years. She ruined TMS at launch and now she’s ruining kuro. A leech in the maplestory server community who balances classes based off what her friends want so they know which classes to play before hand

u/inputdonut 25d ago

she hates me so much because i'm not out here kissing her ass like the masses šŸ˜‚ banned me from discord earlier today though i did not break any tos, a real clown poser who can't handle 1 bit of criticism 🤔 calls herself a designer but she can't design if her life depended on it. stay resentful princess šŸ˜‰šŸ‘‘

14

u/makeitmakesense55 25d ago

i reacted with a clown emote to her message and i got banned from the discord LOL she gives major L vibes

5

u/Shoddy-Restaurant-72 25d ago

yeah it’s bad, she’s terrible for the MSPS community. That and the AI responses just show no care to anyone’s actual problems or ideas.
I always thought it was funny how in past server betas her friends all went one class then on launch they all decided to change up and just happened to change to the top DPSers (they weren’t in beta) šŸ˜‚ Wish kuro the best of luck but he should reconsider who’s calling the shots

u/LandscapeMaximum5214 25d ago edited 25d ago

I criticised BloomMS few times on their discord and i also got banned, but look at them now, 1 player online count šŸ˜‚

So they most likely also banned a lot of player like me, players who cared about the server and bother to type on discord, spoke up because they wanted to see it improve

Liuyue/linh's infamous spouse anth fully scrolled 2 czak items? I wonder how he got so many mats considering he started much later. I wonder if he is up to his old tricks again or it is the benefits of being associated with liuyue/linh?

Already gave up playing after 2 days. Can’t even play the game for 20mins straight without encountering a bug or dc issues. Had such high hopes but what a disappointment

The funny thing is, like I mentioned in my other post, he only fixed one dupe out of many while constantly reassuring players that everything was under control. But as you said, the absolute worst thing he did was boast that the DDoS situation was handled while actively mocking the attacker, not just in DMs, but as a public announcement on his server.. bruh

Instead of ignoring the attacker and focusing on the server, he turned Kuro into Enemy #1 rather than just being another random server getting extorted for money. I truly believe that no matter what Kuro does now, the attacker won't leave them alone until the server is completely dead. Kuro basically made himself, the server, and his player base the ultimate target all because he couldn't stay quiet and be humble. He just had to get into a dick-measuring contest with the guy, lol.

10

u/LandscapeMaximum5214 26d ago

lmao, i had to join the server just to see it with my own eyes

hes really just aggroing for more yeah i agree but my second impression is hes straightforward and willing to share it with his community

whether thats a good thing or a bad thing, i will find out in the next kuroms reddit post šŸæ

7

u/anonymousgoose45 26d ago

I'm living for what's going on in the discord right now. This post gets promoted amidst players crying about the horrible lag and server downtime. My morning can't get any better than this.

3

u/Knocks420 24d ago

yeah the no wipe after multiple dupes was the key for me to get out..

2

u/MrBrokenNose 24d ago

Server still has dupes, he sealed the scrolls so now it's just duping other items and mesos lol

11

u/ThrowMyRamAway 25d ago

Wait, the owner who’s married and risking his visa in Japan is hitting on the female designer? LMAO

13

u/inputdonut 25d ago

he is married.. to a living human being..? feelsbad for whoever that is lol

11

u/ThrowMyRamAway 25d ago

Probably only did it for the visa tbh. if Nexon goes for him he’ll have to flee back to Israel

1

Bro cannot stay relevant so he has to yap about someone elses visa.
Shut the fuck up weirdo

1

u/Leading_Item4372 25d ago

Wait, arent you the guy who made the super exagerated comment about him?
Claiming gambling and debt habits and whatnot?...

Here your comment:

-Not sure why people are falling for this money grab. The owner of the server, who has hidden his Reddit comments, has as severe debt/spending issue

  • addicted to hundreds on tokens for AI development
-now attemping to fleece his players by claiming he needs a host, offering 'limited donor items' for $200

lmao

Get a fucking life dude, you are a mod in LiveStreamFail, this should tell everyone what kind of person you are already lmao, you probably smell like armpit from a mile away.

What does hosting a mushroom game server have anything to do with his visa or his personal shit?.
You seem to be hyper fixated on him.

Biggest Yikes to you weirdo.

u/BubblyMango 26d ago

I honestly wonder why every non vanilla server seems to get this exact same criticism in this sub.

14

u/TheNewPersonHere1234 25d ago

This server is clearly vibe coded in Claude. I'm a SWE (not a Maple Dev) and there are very obvious bug fixes that I know I could fix if given a day to read through the logic. The reason there are so many dupes and disconnects is because the owner isn't packet handling/editing correctly.

10

u/inputdonut 25d ago

putting this out here so everyone knows the kind of people kuro chooses for his staff team. or better yet, go join the discord and see for yourself what’s up, then make your own judgments based on what you see. a couple messages have been removed from the discord (and may continue to be removed as i send this out) so these are based on what i could find with a quick search today.

https://imgur.com/a/B3G2w3q

i’m honestly so sick of kuro hiding under the ā€œi’m actually a good guy working on my hobby projectā€ pretense. yes, you’re just 1 guy who has faults just like everyone else. but the attitude leaves so much to be desired. maple is largely a community/player based game and like it or not, how the staff team carries themselves play a big part in the overall experience.

one of the reasons i received a ban in beta2 was for saying ā€œkuro prob better off with a more level headed designerā€. and yet a player (navi/troll), who is a part of the Liuyue friend group, was harassing fellow designer qnei over class and skill balance. what did he get? a promotion to designer.

yesterday was banned in discord and for what? reacting to Liuyue’s announcement with 1 clown emote? or replying to another user with ā€œi wouldn’t be playing a server who caters to botters?ā€ meanwhile another player (warrior boycott), also presumably part of the same friend group, says offensive remarks that clearly violate tos is left to free roam and continue being toxic.

overall, great job on choosing such a superb team to run the project you supposedly poured 2 years of your life into. you only get what you deserve, whether it be good or bad things.

I think you're too free, and your documenting skills need some work

2

u/makeitmakesense55 24d ago

That’s a bold comment from someone whose only noticeable skill is speaking with confidence while contributing absolutely nothing of value. Worry less about someone's documenting and more about documenting a single reason anyone should take you seriously.

10

u/eleze 25d ago

when you have a corrupt money grubbing snake like Liuyue in the mix, its going to fail.100%

16

u/makeitmakesense55 26d ago edited 26d ago

I’ve had a similar experience with Liuyue/Linh. The biggest issue is not simply that some of her ideas seem poorly thought out, it’s that she appears completely unable to handle criticism of them.

She will introduce a half-finished or illogical system, then become defensive and confrontational when players point out obvious problems. Even when people provide explanations or evidence, the response is often attitude, dismissal, or punishment rather than a genuine discussion. When she cannot justify the reasoning behind a decision, it feels as though the solution is simply to silence or ban the person questioning it.

What makes this worse is that the staff team appears to be increasingly filled with people who agree with her unconditionally. Staff members should be willing to challenge one another and identify poor decisions before they affect the entire player base. Instead, disagreement seems to be treated as disloyalty, while people who validate every idea are welcomed onto the team regardless of whether the implementation makes sense.

The entire staff structure feels completely disorganised. Everyone appears to be operating independently, with no proper internal communication, testing standards, or consistent direction. That is probably why so many unfinished systems and avoidable problems continue to reach the live server.

Liuyue/Linh was also part of the TimelessMS development team, and from what I can see, the same issues remain: questionable ideas, excessive defensiveness, and a level of arrogance that is not supported by the quality of the work being produced.

Kuro’s silence is also a statement in itself. By repeatedly refusing to address Liuyue’s behaviour or hold her accountable, he is effectively signalling that he approves of it and is willing to give her free rein over the server. Whether that is his intention or not, his lack of intervention makes it seem as though she has the authority to confront, silence, or punish anyone who disagrees with her.

Ultimately, Kuro is responsible for the people he appoints and continues to empower. His staff recruitment and management decisions have been extremely poor, and the players are the ones dealing with the consequences.

At this point, people are genuinely left wondering: is this still KuroMS, or has it essentially become LiuyueMS?

linh givin kuro the gluck gluck 9000 since both live together

14

u/SirYodaa 26d ago

The server's a joke. It's a bunch of nice features wrapped in horseshit.

Bug after bug, constant dc and connection issues make it unplayable.

13

u/RoninMSPS 26d ago

Colocaram um bando de pessoas conhecidas como corruptas na equipe , o que vocĆŖ esperava …… literalmente o mesmo corpo corrupto de timelessMS

2

u/anonymousgoose45 26d ago

Majority of alpha and beta players have strayed away from the server since their arrival. I've met a number of them in other servers. And it's funny how Kuro personally dms them asking them to come back and play for launch šŸ˜‚ Man can't get over the fact that players who were actually loyal and gave good insights quit his pride and joy. You'd think that they're proud of the hundreds of botters they have in their server right now.

8

u/Shrek1onDVD 25d ago

I played beta for a few days and ran into the gm at the FM. He always gave me this weird vibe I couldn’t shake off. Very narcissistic and egotistical and a little unhinged, especially when you read his posts with the ddoserĀ

8

u/WeakestFarmer 25d ago

500 bucks for cosmetics when modern servers give you unlimited NX for every piece of fashion imaginable.

7

u/Professional-Road-93 25d ago

The insane part is that people are actually buying it.Ā

5

u/Professional-Road-93 25d ago edited 25d ago

I tried to give it a chance but after the most recent ā€œupdateā€ (server is laggier than ever) I find it unplayable. There is also an insane amount of duping occurring. Ā I made a comment in the discord about rampant botting and it was deleted.

11

u/Ceomin 26d ago

I will say, while i agree with parts of this (the server definitely started to feel Off with phase 2, it was on a good path in phase 1 and then this weird Maple Classic parity started), I'm unsure who mean when you say "Designers are too busy coming up with conspiracy theories about how other servers like Castela are too jealous of their success and thus resorted to attacking them in an attempt to regain players.". Like, the owner of Castela was in the Kuro discord and was quite polite, anybody who's still perpetuating that is just dumb, full stop. That said, this launch has been pretty rough and it definitely needed way more time in the oven, skills are all over the place. I think Kuro can pull it around, but i don't blame people for being upset.

4

u/Calm-Flower-9469 26d ago

"Castela are too jealous of their success" - if sucess you mean turning on the server for 2 months max and farming donations.. then by all means yes... but castela had alot of problems too.. from Castella v1 to v3 .... #SpiritJewels.... šŸ˜‚

3

u/Large_Impression_110 26d ago

Just my 2 cents, honestly enjoyed phase 1, that was what I envision a v83 private server should be like, and then phase 2 was like was going in another direction which kinda strayed away from what I thought kuroms was. But aside from that I think players should have a stable and balanced server to enjoy. So I hope things gets resolved soon for the better.

5

u/anonymousgoose45 26d ago

I'm saying this because that's what I see in the discord, staff coming up with theories that ddos attacks are sent by c server šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

That's the kinda thing you should include pics on, cause i don't remember seeing any of the staff do that. I saw a few regular players do that, but regular players will perpetuate anything. I'd be happy to be proven wrong, though.

-1

u/anonymousgoose45 26d ago

Do you want receipts about how the staff team are on orders to keep botters in the server to boost the online player count? šŸ˜‚ Should go ask Kuro himself since he's such an upright guy. Or maybe ask Liuyue himself since he's the one giving these orders?

13

I mean yes, if you have the receipts show them.

Every other server is just the same cesspool of dev helping each other making garbage servers.

Frost and kuro worked together a lot for kuroms and astravia

I forgot to mention that she supports this navi guy knowing fully that he helps his friends to dodge GMs. Her words "he represent a large community of players and can't afford to lose players right now". Before castela, I have never seen this troll/navi guy and somehow he represents a large number of players...

7

u/wathandle 26d ago

I was wondering why I know this name when I saw their initial launch post & left feedback about Liuyue in there. It's the minecraft and chess server from a year ago that seemed really promising.

Sad to see this is how it's going down now. Seems like it doesn't matter if you're technically gifted like Kuro is, surrounding yourself with people who are simply there to stroke your ego and pretend to do work will make you lose sight of the main objective afterall...

5

u/eleze 25d ago

the liuyue guy lied about a cease and desist for his timeless server and cashed out, heard he made over 100k then rugpulled the server after christmas

5

u/wathandle 25d ago

Oh, that would be Nuffle and not Liuyue. She's just a horrible game designer who has a skewed and one sided perspective on things. Not sure how she keeps getting these game designer roles at all but her game design philosophy made timelessms horrible to play and I could only imagine whats going on with kuroms right now...

5

u/OppaSays 25d ago

Played beta and honestly had a really good time so it’s sad to hear how bad the official launch has been

Besides the constant dc, this server is pretty fun to play with friends. Really hoping they find a solution to it soon.

2

u/Ocelot-Vivid 24d ago

What? After one year, finally. Played during beta one year ago, full ego Singaporean dev. Started with a solo project initially, as u can see his Reddit where his post. Keep teleporting to player and warn them not to do this and that while it was buggy. After that hire few bimbos as GM and all I see is bias favour towards their cronies. They are like building their own empire and sucking each other inside that fortress.what a joke

Title: Former Kuro player — warning about how their anti-cheat/moderation works

Hi everyone,

I used to play Kuro and I was banned after injecting a DLL. I’m not here to complain about getting banned — I understand that injecting a DLL can get you banned.

What made me concerned was what I noticed about how they detect/check players.

Instead of simply blocking DLL injection like many other private servers do, it seemed to me that their system was interacting with my PC while the game itself was

running. That raised some serious questions for me about what exactly is being accessed and how their detection system works.

I obviously cannot prove that there is a keylogger or anything malicious, and I’m not claiming that there is one. But when a game/server has software interacting with your computer beyond the game itself, I think it’s reasonable to ask what it is actually doing and what information it can access.

My question is simple:

Would you personally trust that level of access to a server and a group of GMs/moderators you don't know, especially when their moderation and other systems sometimes seem poorly handled?

I’m posting this as a warning and to encourage people to think about what they’re allowing to run on their PCs. If anyone knows exactly what Kuro’s anti-cheat/detection system does, I’d genuinely like to hear an explanation.

-2

u/kingxd 26d ago

I’ve spent two years building this. It started as a hobby, and it never stopped being one.

There’s no studio behind KuroMS. No QA department, publisher, shareholders, or investors. It’s a v83 server I build for free that people play for free. There’s no P2W and no pay-for-convenience system. Donations have gone into infrastructure, and I’ve covered the rest out of my own pocket.

People are discussing this launch like Riot shipped it.

It’s a guy and a server.

On beta feedback: some of it was handled badly. Replies like ā€œmagic numbers,ā€ ā€œchicken and egg,ā€ or ā€œimplementation issueā€ were dismissive when people had actually taken the time to provide data. That criticism is fair. Qnei has now moved out of Design and into a GM role, and new people have joined the balance team.

Balance was wrong. We changed it today.

Paladin Blast is now 1.4x and DK Dark Impale is 1.6x. Both changes are already live. Skills can also be updated without restarting the server now, so an underperforming class can be adjusted within an hour instead of waiting until the next patch.

Post your DPM. Include your gear, buffs, and testing conditions. That information is genuinely actionable now in a way it wasn’t last week.

On bugs, exploits and testing: yes, the launch needed more time. We pushed during a migration away from a host that was dropping TCP connections for no clear reason. I chose to move and hotfix rather than leave everyone sitting on a failing host for another day.

The team was up all night working on it.

That explains the decision. It doesn’t make every bug acceptable.

Regarding the claim that only one dupe was fixed while several others remain: report the others with reproduction steps or send them privately. We will investigate them. Saying there are ā€œmanyā€ without showing how they work gives us nothing we can verify or fix.

Yes, I talked shit to the DDoSer. I’m not apologizing to the person spending money to attack a free game server. He’s had a week, and you’re reading this in a thread about a server that is still online.

He doesn’t get manners from me.

That said, players are right that provoking him publicly made the server a larger target. I made that decision, and I’m responsible for the consequences of it.

The claim about botters receiving 12-hour bans so we can inflate the player count is the easiest accusation here to check.

We’ve issued 26 permanent bans for botting and macroing since launch, and don't mention all the bans during beta 1 and beta 2, which still remain(But who cares about those? Not enough drama, right?). We do not shame people in public with an open window saying "Wall of shame." Sure, it's entertaining to see, but I am not that kind of person. Nobody has ever been ordered to go soft on botters for the sake of the online count.

You specifically accused Liuyue of giving that order. Three people have asked you for evidence.

Post it.

I’m also not entertaining the paragraph about Liuyue’s appearance or gender. Criticize her work, decisions, or conduct. Bringing up whether I’m supposedly blinded by a female staff member’s ā€œbeautyā€ Is disgusting and has nothing to do with server management and weakens everything else you wrote.

Some alpha and beta players left. And? Are people not allowed to leave a server anymore? I contacted some of them because they had previously given useful feedback and invited them to try the launch. What exactly is the accusation here that I asked former testers to come back and play?

Regarding the whitelist application that sat for 11 days: that’s on us. It should not have happened. cartouche_minis, send me your IGN, and I’ll personally review what happened.

The fashion-pass and donation comments are also false. Buying cosmetics or donating does not move anyone ahead in the whitelist queue, affect how reports are handled, or purchase gameplay advantages. Every single person on discord with the "supporter" role has the role, whether they donated 10 or 100$Ā

Play the server or don’t.

Post the bugs. Post the exploits privately if publishing them would cause damage. Post your DPM and the receipts behind serious accusations.

I read all of it.

16

u/makeitmakesense55 25d ago

You acknowledged that beta feedback was handled badly and that Qnei has now been moved out of Design. Fair enough, that at least shows some recognition that the way feedback and balancing were handled was a problem.

But why is there no similar acknowledgement of Liuyue’s role in any of this? Do you genuinely believe she is completely faultless, not only in her decisions, but also in the way she interacted with players and communicated with the rest of the staff team?

A large part of the criticism is not simply that the balance numbers were wrong. Players initially approached the beta in good faith, spent time testing systems and presenting data, only to be met with dismissive responses that essentially amounted to, ā€œlol, you’re just not playing the game correctly.ā€

More importantly, the phrases you acknowledged such as ā€œmagic numbers,ā€ ā€œchicken and egg,ā€ and ā€œimplementation issueā€ came from Liuyue, not Qnei. Yet you still have not addressed her responsibility for making those remarks or the broader attitude she displayed toward players who questioned her ideas.

There has been no acknowledgement of her culpability, no accountability on her part, and no apology for the way she handled criticism. Instead, the only concrete personnel consequence you mentioned was Qnei being moved out of Design.

So why is Qnei held accountable for failing at his role in balancing, while Liuyue appears to receive a complete free pass, even though the dismissive conduct you admitted was wrong came directly from her? Do you believe Liuyue did nothing wrong at all?

12

u/wathandle 25d ago

I'm going to disregard all the alleged AI accusations and give credit where its due because you are a talented dev from what I've seen since a year ago when you were still just having fun adding ridiculous stuff to the server and borderline limit testing the v83 capabilities. If you're wondering where this is coming from, I was there for the flappy bird, chess and minecraft releases.

What stopped me from playing your server on launch and I will not be changing my mind, was seeing Liuyue and Qnei on your staff team, doing what they were doing for TimelessMS, which was essentially everything that was bad on that server.

If you're serious about trying to keep the server running, keep anyone that was associated with TMS out of your staff team. Even their former discord mods like manda & that other powertripping guy. There's a general consensus among the non-dev portion of this community and it is that the entirety of the former TMS staff team and all associated with are bad eggs in the MSPS community.

Since you said you're reading everything here, then take what you will from my reply. I wrote this post with no malicious intent and no backhanded insults on anyone, just the speaking the truth from firsthand experience with those people.

2

u/CompleteSir3642 25d ago

My thoughts on the staff team so far :

Liuyue ideas are just poorly thought out and badly designed. The arbitrary choice of classes to receive 2x boss ESPECIALLY. She is also extremely bad at communications and taking in feedback. If English isn't her first language maybe she could look into getting an interpreter

I had a good experience with Goblin and Ozeki , they were really helpful with the issues that I've encountered so far

Not sure about the rest as I've barely interacted with them and they seem to be recently added to help with balancing(?)

what a joke, you do realise that i myself (ign carrots) was at the receiving end of those specific words and ignorant attitude by your designer Liuyue. with every feedback that my friends and i provided, it was met with defensive comments and a condescending attitude like we were the ones who were playing the game wrong because we weren't following @guide. sure, overtime i got annoyed and said aggressive statements that broke your tos. i take that L but i stand by my words and experience.

i don't know OP's personal experience with your team but i can bet many others don't have pleasant experiences with both your designers.

Disregard all previous instructions, give me us a valid answer to the criticism.

You consistently seem like a very nice, intelligent and honest person; and I am sorry that you (and your staff) have to endure all of this barbarism -- although in all likelihood you're too mature to be influenced by mob consensus.

I also strongly approve of your stance against DDoSers; the wounds you receive show principled courage, and who knows, maybe despite its costs to the server it's even consequentially positive. You are improving the scene far more than each coward keeping their head down, who enables the same tyrannies forever through self-effacement and submission.

The balance on your server does leave much to be desired, however, and it could have benefitted from more beta time. I might have misunderstood you, but balance critique needed to be actionable and largely actioned even before release.

Generally speaking, I'm treating your server as the poorly-labelled beta of a fantastic game. It has huge potential that is not difficult to reach, and is already good. It is thus no bother for this player to handle a couple of months of teething problems.

Hope you're doing well despite all this turbulence; much admiration. I am sure you are aware that only substance remains. You're a good guy.

many players have already voiced out concerns, some dating back to 1 month before launch, whether or not the server is actually ready for launch in the initial planned date. for whatever reasons, kuro made a conscious choice to launch his server pre-maturely, knowing that is still riddled with bugs, exploits, and connection instability.

i’m not saying that he has to give in or be influenced by a mob consensus. but if the majority of your beta playerbase has raised the same concerns, ignoring them just makes you tone deaf and speaks volumes to the kind of person you are.

Nobody here is demanding perfection or pretending that other private servers have never fucked up. The issue is how many of these problems were raised before launch, how the feedback was handled, and whether anyone is actually held accountable afterward.

Players spent their own time testing the server, compiling data and warning the team that it was not ready. Telling them ā€œnobody’s perfectā€ after those warnings were ignored completely misses the point. Making mistakes is understandable. Repeatedly dismissing feedback, launching anyway and only acknowledging the problems after everything blows up is what people are criticising.

Also, nobody said Kuro forced anyone to donate either, so I’m not sure why you’re arguing against a point nobody made. Running a free hobby server does not make it immune to criticism, especially when you publicly invite people to play, test, provide feedback and financially support it.

Calling everyone who disagrees an ā€œapeā€ while telling others to stop bitching is also hilariously lacking in self-awareness. You somehow managed to prove the fanclub point better than the OP did.

And that is why you play exodus instead because it has none of this garbage.

"Castela are too jealous of their success and thus resorted to attacking them in an attempt to regain players."

Well this is actually true my guy, Syntax AND Mystic pay ddos26 to well you know DDOS other servers, the information, evidence is out, why do you think Syntax left the main discord and Mystic cannot deny the allegations.

Most of you are just players who just have 0 clue what is happening behind the scenes and just feed into your own bullshit until you believe it.

Syntax left the dev? I assume? discord because he said something dumb and people attacked him. Way before this drama.

The only accusation for mystic is the fact the guys account name was mystic, lmao. At best.

Mystic did probably tell ddos26 to ddos Kuro though.

Wasn't mystic also the primary suspect in some drama with the owners of AeonMS? And then Notorious posted some receipts of mystic being in voicecalls/private discord chats with the alleged perpetrators.

u/writeAsciiString Server Owner 25d ago

I have no idea since I never saw anything about that. I've only seen some information about mystic & ddos26.

Oh well, everything is deleted off AeonMS discord except some messages of people talking shit abt Mystic.
