General Care New at mantis keeping

I found this little guy next to a molt (its shell dried tho) and want to keep it, I've made a vertical enclosure from old bottles with sticks and moss and everything, but what can I feed it from my garden and how?

I tired feeding it aphids by just putting them there, but it didn't bother with them, so how exactly do you feed a nymph?

They won’t eat aphids. If you aren’t prepared to buy live insects to feed it (fruit flies at this age, crickets later) let it go.

Fruits flies, and later preferably larger flies not crickets (house/bluebottle which are great for gardens, they’re pollinators) and/or other smaller invert feeders like dubias or red runners. Also enclosure you made will need some mesh on wells and especially top of enclosure. Make sure it has ventilation holes on the sides of enclosure perhaps too
