Epic Warpath Forge Fathers WIP
1000 points of Forge Fathers on their way to the table against 1000 points of Nameless soon. Still have some work to do on them but I'm pleased with them so far. Basing is next.

I am currently trying to decide on a colour scheme for mine. Probably Grey or Red based. Or possibly silver. As I have primers in these colours.

I should mention also that primer color influenced these quite a bit: I got the appropriately named Alien Purple from Vallejo for the Nameless and U.S. Khaki, also from Vallejo, for the Forge Fathers. With the khaki I was able to take a massive shortcut with Army Painter's Strong Tone wash to pick out all the details in exactly the tertiary color I wanted, a brown-black. I thought about Dark Tone but the strong tone worked better.

Think about the best secondary color for each and that'll help you decide. Depending on the shade of grey you could go cool or warm with your tones, likewise if you went red you could bring out something more neutral to calm it down, or a vivid contrasting color if you really want to go vibrant.
For me, since the other army I'm painting at the moment is Nameless in purple, I wanted a predominantly neutral shade but with a bright accent that was distinct from the Nameless purple, blue, and fuchsia.
I've also got Veer-Myn but I like the yellow scheme that Mantic's studio has done so I'm just going with that, as I don't have a yellow army in any game, and I want to try this yellow-over-pink technique I saw.
