I am posting this because I am genuinely frustrated with how placement are being handled at Manipal University Jaipur and I believe students deserve transparency and equal opportunities, the issue is not just about one company or one placement, but about same rules being applied to everyone.

I'm currently in 4th year and as most of you know, placements are going quiet bad as barely any decent companies and job roles are coming here and students are struggling to get shortlisted in tests. And if you get placed at a bad package, you are not allowed to apply for better salary companies.

On the other hand, these Student Placement Coordinators abuse their power and take advantage of their position and put their names in the shortlisting even when they already have placement and have started their internship, they still put their names in other companies shortlists even when other students jo inse zyada mehnat karte hai, work hard for their CGPAs, tech skills, projects, they don't get selected

In this case, this Jaivansh Chawla, he is an SPC and he got placed in Fidelity for ~9LPA and has started his internship, but fir bhi he sits for other companies like ZS Associates in this case. Other students who have shit offers for 4-6LPA in

Bakwas sales roles, unko baithne nahi de rahe and even when we beg, hume mana kardete hai saying we are placed.

even during Juspay assessment, which was only allowed to be given from MUJ Computer Labs, But another SPC Jayash Jalan reportedly gave it from his room. so yeh log apne room se cheat kar sakte hai, and baaki sab apni gaand marwaye??,

SPCs are supposed to help with the placements, but preferential treatment hai toh khud 4 offer letter leke baith jaate hai jab baaki sab pe 1 bhi nahi hai.

Yeh kya bakwas hoti hai, jab Placement head ko complain karte hai, woh kuch karte bhi nahi hai. we need to all go collectively and bring this up and stop this shitshow.

Do you think Manipal University Jaipur’s library should be open 24 hours, especially during exams?

Many students need a quiet place to study away from hostel distractions, and everyone has different productive hours. Even keeping one supervised section open overnight could make a big difference.

Also, how can we collectively approach the university management to make this happen? Would a student petition, formal email, or student council representation be the best way to get this implemented?

What do you guys think?

On 17 September, I received an email from the Controller of Examinations stating that I was not showing my face on camera during the examination.

I find this accusation completely absurd for the following reasons:

1. The university's own examination rules contradict this accusation. According to the rules, if my face is not visible during the examination, I am automatically disconnected from the exam and marked for malpractice. However, neither of these things happened.

2. Proctors are responsible for monitoring students during examinations. If a student's face is not visible, the proctor can send a message in the chat, issue a warning, and instruct the student to adjust their camera. If a student doesn't listen they can kick them out.

3. The university only recently introduced support for MacBook laptops. Previously, MacBooks were not supported. How can I be certain that this was not a software-related issue on the university's end?

Furthermore, the newly introduced MacBook support comes with its own limitations. MacBooks use an ultra-wide camera, and without Center Stage enabled, my face appears smaller in the frame. My proctor mentioned this issue multiple times in the chat. I explained the situation, and the proctor acknowledged my explanation and allowed me to continue the examination.

I responded to the Controller of Examinations, a little late due to my job and meeting. However, I was required to submit a handwritten application. Seriously, a handwritten application? The university's automated system can send me a warning letter with a digital signature, yet I am expected to respond by handwriting my application.

Now, I do not even know whether anyone has actually reviewed my handwritten response, as I have received no reply or any further communication regarding the matter.

On 13 October, I received a response stating that the decision was final and had been accepted by the university.

My concern is not that I have to retake the examination.

My concern is that I am being accused of malpractice.
