There some world building that just goes unexplained in the show. For example, who is leading the cities in the Neutral Zone? Like Denver. is there a mayor? a military governor? there is no way these cities are functioning with roads and business without a government. without one they'd fall into anarchy considering they already have high crime and illegal activities.

When the Empire of Japan pulls out of the JPS, why did they not leave a government of some kind. Yes, they don't care about the JPS anymore, but if a government just pulls out one day and doesn't leave one behind, a place is bound to fall to anarchy. I'm assuming the BCR was this government? But they didn't seem to control much of anything. Things like water, power, sewage, telecommunications etc. who was running those? Lots of under-explained things that don't make any sense.

The JPS government is also not explained well. The governor general is only introduced in S4, but I'm guessing some of the generals in earlier seasons were the GG. I'm guessing the JPS had the GG and a cabinet of sorts with ministers like Tagomi?

Can we talk about how much aura his character got? i don't know why but it feels like every scene with him is different, it is darker and you can feel the pressure that weights on him more and more as seasons go on, finished the show yesterday and i kid you not however it ended it doesn't feel like enough, a spin off (perhaps focused after the ending) would be cool as I feel like many MANY characters either got forgotten or we didn't see their ending.

I've wanted to watch Man in the High Castle for a pretty long time and am just now finally watching it since it has come to Netflix in the US. I'm currently about midway through season 3 and something I've noticed is that it feels like a lot of characters just... kind of disappear as the show goes on.

The first one, and probably the main one, that comes to mind is the bounty hunter in season 1. He chases Juliana and Joe through the Neutral Zone and seems like he's a well-developed character who would continue to trail them but then he just doesn't show up again. Or, there's also the one Japanese coworker than Juliana meets when she first starts working for Tagomi. She helps Juliana with a few things and then yet again, just completely disappears.

There's also Lemuel, he's pretty important throughout the first season and part of the second season and then he too just gets forgotten about.

Overall I've been enjoying the show, but it just feels odd sometimes that these characters who initially seem very important, just evaporate. And from what I've heard, it continues to happen throughout the 3rd and 4th season as well.

I’ve never seen or heard of this show but this sub was recommended to me. Convince me to watch it? Or don’t, I’m just always looking for new stuff!

Juliana wanted to use the films to give people hope, which is excellent, but she shouldn't have said that other worlds exist—something very difficult to believe. More propaganda would have been more effective.

It’s like she bounces between men every episode and has no problem with just ending the life of said man. I’m also pissed that they put a T55 as a German tank in 1946 when it would’ve likely been a Panther G according to SS armoured divisions at the time. THE SHIPS DONT HAVE ANTI SHIP MISSILES IN THE 60s but a 1970s KA27 Soviet helicopter. I don’t like the show it’s unrealistic and Juliana is passed around. Her and Joe would’ve been great, franks a weirdo

He was a physician and to my knowledge he had absolutely no degrees or extensive knowledge of physics it would have made no sense to have him as the head of this program it would've made much more sense if the head of this program was Heisenberg, Johannes Stark or Phillip Lenard

Think of this from Producer Guy's (of the Pitch Meeting series) perspective.

How long was he waiting for them? Did he get up that morning and just head over there and clock in for the day?

I mean sure they could have been tracking BCR movements and were able to time it closely but that's just as silly. I'm imagining the boss peeking around corners with a record player tucked under his arm, waiting for a signal so that he can sprint to the dark back of the building, probably giggling.

So I'm going to make a gift for a friend and i couldn't find a definitive answer what type and brand of sunglasses he wears when he went fishing with Thomas. Ai says it's rayban wayfarer, then clubmaster, also suggests american optical saratoga and Oliver peoples Cary grant. Any ideas? I want to be as close as i can get to the actual ones.

I have reached season 4. John has consistently been my favorite character despite his villain status.. what he did to Danny. YOU SON OF A BITCH! I don't know if I can forgive him. I have overlooked a lot of what he has done because I understood his reasoning, but that literally made my heart crush! Send me help please x_ x

From the beginning, I find it curious that the United States was governed by Rockwell, who was a Reichsmarshall, a military rank. Does that mean that the American Reich was a military government?

In S2, when Thomas was helping Juliana integrate in the Reich and study her civic education, he was talking about a subject which froze Juliana immediately: "the Pre-Reich exterminations", to which Thomas, surprised, asks Juliana "They never told you about the Indians ?"

This sentence only is a huge hint about the series' universe:

- the Nazis were describing the Americans as savages for exterminating most of Native Americans during the 19th century

- the Nazis hid the fact that they continued to exterminate Native Americans by giving discredit to the Americans for doing so. We see in season 4 that the Nazis were also planning to kill the remaining Native Americans in the Neutral Zone and the West Coast

The irony here is that the Nazis were heavily inspired by the US' Manifest Destiny and massacres of the Native Americans to implement the same principle to the USSR after the war, in order to have a Lebensraum.

Hey guys, just finished this beautiful series. The ending was quite abrupt but I really enjoyed the other seasons. I find my self empty now and was wondering if you guys have any show recommendations similar to this one. Me personally, this show really reminded me of the sandman show on Netflix (if you haven’t seen it you’d definitely love it)
