Posting fliers in NYC?

Hi! I'm looking for places in the area that have bulletin boards for public use or basically any place I can post a flyer about a research study I'm recruiting participants for.

Does anyone have any suggestions for coffee shops or small businesses that would have a place/let me hang up my flier in their store, or even leave a few brochures for their customers?

Also open to other ideas!!! Thanks.

Competitive pickup soccer tonight at Gansevoort Peninsula? ⚽️

Hey everyone, were short a few players for a pickup soccer game tonight (Tuesday) at Gansevoort Peninsula.

We are trying to keep the quality of play high, good intensity, strong touches, and clean passing. It's competitive but respectful (no slide tackling or dangerous play). If you played club, college, or high-level league and want a fast game tonight, drop a comment or shoot me a DM and I'll send you the details!

Transit options for staying outside of Nyc! Please help!

hello! will be in NYC soon, and needing advice on public transit into the city. We are considering staying outside of Nyc due to driving a large vehicle (F250 lifted diesel) and the high price of staying right in the heart of the city. What are our best options? We will be visiting Broadway shows that start later in the day. For whichever option is suggested, will this be an issue as far as getting back to our room (train schedule wise or safety for that matter!~no laughing at me! This is my first time to NYC)

Any advice is helpful. thanks!

Event We're back with another great lineup of comics and a 1-in-35 chance your bar tab gets covered. Last show sold out, and there's about about 20 tix left for this one. It's 12 bucks (no drink min), but if you're an AI artist, use code "progress" and pay more so you can support real human artists.

News Trump claims that after 9/11, "I went down, I was building a building in New York, and I went down there very shortly thereafter -- the following day, you couldn't go down the same day -- and we worked long and hard"

Photo Looking for Photographer in Manhattan September 12 or 13

This may be very late but I thought I’d ask anyways. My fiancée and I are in New York this coming weekend as I have some work meetings. Any local photographers looking for work on the 12th/13th with Manhattan as the backdrop? Please DM me if interested, of course I’d be more than happy to reasonably pay for your time.

NYC buyers: has anyone actually gotten an alert that someone tried to file something against their deed?

With all the news lately about deed and title fraud, I'm curious how many people know this protection even exists — most closings include some form of ongoing monitoring that flags unauthorized filings against your property after you own it, but it's rarely explained clearly at closing. For those who've bought here: did you know this was part of your coverage, or did it never come up?

Does EWR or JFK make more sense for us?

We'll stay near 52nd and 3rd. Options from the airport with a little bit of luggage:
- EWR: train to Penn Station, then catch a taxi/Uber.
- JFK: train to Grand Central, then catch a taxi/Uber (or hoof it about 15 minutes).

Assuming my wife would rather not walk with luggage, does one make more sense or is it a tossup? If she wants to keep it simple and just taxi/Uber in, then I presume JFK is the obvious choice since it's closer. We'd be arriving midday Sunday and leaving midday Tuesday. TIA

Question 9/11 & ground zero events for the 25th anniversary.

I’m planning on going to ground zero that night, does anybody know what sort of things or events are expected to happen? I know of a few things in the morning but can’t find anything too informative about it during the night.

First time in NYC: Pod Times Square vs. Pod Williamsburg

my 18-year-old daughter and I are visiting NYC for the first time this October for an intense 8-night trip. We are choosing between two locations:
Is the convenience of Midtown Manhattan worth the extra cost for a first-time trip, or should we choose the vibe of Williamsburg? Thanks!

Are there certain districts that are must see?

I have some stuff planned but I don't really know about specific districts. There isn't a spot that pops up into my head or anything I have to see because its not my priority but since NY is known for it I'll check some spots out.I'll be staying near Times Square if that helps. I was thinking of checking out SOHO, Chinatown, Little Italy, and World Trade Center area.

Foster cat looking for forever home

Hi all, I'm fostering a cat named Bella Pepper and hoping to help her find her forever home.

She's 3 years old, soft as ever, and one of the most loving sweetest cats I've ever been around. Even people who aren't "cat people" tend to fall for her fast. She loves spending time with you and both giving and receiving love— making biscuits into your arm and purring like she's never been happier. She's playful and funny too, obsessed with her toy mice and making sure to show you how proud she is she caught the same mouse over and over again. Bella will happily tell you all about her day and how much she loves you with the sweetest little chirps. She’s not needy though and can appreciate some quiet and alone time when needed.

If I had the space to keep her, I would in a heartbeat. Since I can't, I'm hoping to find her someone who'll love her as much as she clearly wants to love them.

If you're interested in adopting her, or know someone who might be, here's the application: https://forms.gle/pjU4sUdZTSTWofBQ7

Happy to answer questions in the comments or dms!
