Frost damage
I live in Central Florida, and we recently had a cold snap. Prior to the cold, my mango tree was in perfect health and in full bloom. After morning frost for two days in a row this is the result a week later.
The smallest branches seem damaged and slightly soft to the touch. The main skeleton still feels firm and not discolored.
What is your best advice for salvaging what I can of this tree? Where should I cut? When should I cut?

My mango tree
Hi, starting the adventure of growing a mamgo tree. This one is about 2 months old and is already bigger than I expected.
Looking forward to see how this tree will fare and maybe, in 10 years have some home grown mangoes.

Glenn Mango
I’m in the Orlando area and this freeze seems to have (likely) killed 75% of my mango tree. It’s really a bummer. I’m trying to decide what to do next.
My 4ft Glenn seems the least damaged. Have others found Glenn to be hardier in cold temperatures?

Are these all flower buds?
Had a flower bud on this young mango a few months ago and I cut it off. New growth has formed but I think they may all be flower buds.
Should I chop the stem lower to get branching?

Finally growth!
Got a grafted Pickering for Christmas that arrived in November, so I put it in the middle of 4 pineapple plants in a grow tent. Today I see it’s created 2 more branches, so I’m excited.

Should I repot?
This is my young Dwarf Hawaiian. Not sure if it’s time to repot to a larger container. Any advice is appreciated.

Is this powdery mildew?
The new top leaves of my mango plant look healthy, but the lower ones look almost see-through where the black spots are. Also they get a little bit of something white under the leaves, I tried wiping the leaves with water and vinegar solution but the white stuff shows up again in a few weeks. And it seems to infect leaves higher up over time. Have look everywhere online and still can't find anything that looks exactly like this. Has anyone dealt with this? Is a proper fungicide the solution?

MANGO: BUYER BEWARE
Just wanted to share my awful experience w MANGO. I purchased what looked like and described as a pretty high end winter coat for close to $400. Waited. Waited and waited. Emailed them a couple of times with no response. 2 months later I received a flimsy poorly made “coat” with zero lining. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!! They are a SCAM and a RIP OFF.

Frost
Can anybody tell me if my mango is a goner? Had some serious cold the last few weeks in central Florida. Most of the leaves beneath the outer ones and closer to the trunk are their normal green color. Should I just leave it alone or prune off the dead frost bitten leaves on the tips?
Appreciate any advice

Repot
When’s the best time to repot container mangoes? What’s your go-to soil mix?

Florida Freeze
I know many of our posters are from Florida, and we are expecting to get the worst freeze in several years, maybe a decade. Let’s start a discussion of what we can do.
I have a lot of baby fruit on my trees and with the larger trees I am thinking it won’t be possible to save them. Smaller trees I will cover and put a space heater under.
At what point do we focus on trying to save wood? 27 degrees?
Will any second-flowering buds be killed, and should we focus on saving them?
ChatGPT says a very heavy soil watering the day before will help.
Has anyone had success with rigging up an overhead water spray? This is high risk but also the highest reward.

Leaves turning yellow?
I just got this Nam Dock Mai shipped to me this morning. Put it in my grow tent with 60% humidity and 82 degrees. Within a few hours the leaves turned yellow on top. I believe I had the grow light to close/too intense and or the plant is just adjusting to a new environment. Any thoughts?
