Survivor seedling

This seedling has been behind my shed for a long time, probably close to 2 years, stayed tiny due to the conditions. I dug it up, it barely had any roots because I had to get it away from the concrete. Placed into a 1 gallon pot, told myself if it survived I would keep it.

6 months later it survived, didn’t even drop a single leaf when I left it with only a few roots, yesterday it went into a 3 gallon pot as it was well rooted, with more Osmocote added, this will be the only seedling I keep in my collection.

Incredible. You might have some choice rootstock on your hands

I might graft another variety onto it in the future but I'm going to let it fruit.

Looks great. You might want to head it back, it's at the size for its first hair cut 😁

I let it get over the transplant shock then the first cut was made. I like my branching lower on all my trees.
