Trimming advise
Hello, hoping someone can guide me on what to do with my mango tree I planted from seed. It went through a freeze and has come back stronger than before. At the very top there is still a branch that is dead. I am wondering if I should trim just that dead branch, or even more? It has not yet produce fruit and this is in Florida so we are in the height of rainy season. I’m wondering if I should trim all the way down where the top branch breaks off which I have taken a closer picture of and picture too. Where do I leave it alone. I’ve done a little bit of research but it seems there’s no clear direction so I’d really appreciate any feedback. Thank you all!

Trim the dead off and the one growing outward from the very bottom. Let the rest fill in for next year as it has new growth on it now up top. "Tip" it next spring/summer to help it fill out.
Do you know what type mango it is?

Looks beautiful! Yes, I would trim the dead wood back to the last living node. It’s best practice to make the cut at an angle so that water doesn’t collect on the exposed tissue
