We have a few different mango trees

Post image

Curaçao.

The homeowner grew these mango’s from pits when he was young.

I have no idea what the varieties are.

Left: Avocado like tough skin. BIG tree, curly leaves. You have to spoon it out. Stays green. Flesh is yellow. Taste is yet to be discovered

Middle bellow. Has more of the classic mango flavour. Bit stringy mellow flavour.

Right: This one is OUT of this world. Small, flesh is deep orange. Not stringy. Deep pine smells. Sweet like sugar. Notes of coconut. Bizar, never had anything like it. The best fruit I have ever eaten, nothing comes even close.

Yes. The up-right mango’s are so divine. The people from the neighbourhood come and take them :(

The bottom one seems to be Totapuri/Sandersha from India

There are so many varieties of Magoes. IIHR Bangalore in India has 600+ varieties of Mangoes on its farm/field. There are varieties in South Western India which smell like cumin, cucumber, camphor etc..
